  • 1. filtering spending by category pie chart
Is there a way to filter out a category in the spending by category pie chart? For example, I would like the reimbursed job expenses to not show up on the pie chart, since those expenses do not really indicate my spending habits/distribution.
  • 2. Donating Stock from Portfolio
How is the best way to handle donations of stock from the portfolio to charities? It the past I have just used the remove shares option and then manually entered the value in the tax area. Is there a better or easier way to do this where it would be automatic. Thanks for any ideas.

I have a duplicate paycheck showing up in my budget. This duplicate income in my budget was originally set up as a Bill & Deposit, which I deleted from the Bill & Deposit list. Yes, I realize now I should not delete items from this list, but use the transaction end date option instead. This budgeted income does not show up on budget reports, but does appear in the budget itself. Any thoughts? Money 2006 Thanks!

Help! I can't get MS Money to automatically calculate purchase interest on
my credit card accounts, and show them in the cashflow. It seems the
interest rate I entered in the account options only applies to positive
balances.

The interest rate for a credit card will only show in cash flow if you use
Debt Reduction Planner.

That's pretty stupid, but thanks.

I didn't design the program. If you want to approximate, throw in a
scheduled transaction. You can always skip all of them when they come due
and enter the real number from the statements.

use

Have you used any other money management programs? And how does this one
compare?

I used Quicken a really long time ago and have peeked at it from time to
time since--mostly when I had access to a free bundled copy on a new
machine. I've messed around with GnuCash. Yikes.

But I have so much data in Money now and there are such limited choices for
getting it out, I'm fairly well stuck in the Money rut. That's not to say
that I'm generally unhappy with it. I'm not. Just there aren't a lot of
choices worth even pondering, so I pretty much feel like I have to take what
they give. I'd like for them to give something a little different, even to
just fix the tax estimator display bug, but I understand some of the reasons
that they don't.

1.Can Money 2005 calculate interest charges with credit accounts

Well, it shows up as a charge, I don't know if that would affect the budget
planning etc or something else. It isn't a purchase or charge, just a
monthly interest.

I can't get the Payment frequency and next payment date to be active
either. They are grey'd out.
