I have a shared database on a network. The database uses Crystal Reports Viewer to view crystal reports. The Database is working on all workstations except one. Originally we were getting a message that stated that the library or project could not be located. The Crystal dlls and active X controls were copied from the System and System 32 folders on one of the computers that successfully runs reports from the database. Now we are getting an error 438 when selecting a report from the reports menu. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

  • 4. Configuration Control
Is there a program that will allow configuration control to be applied to an access front end? I am looking for something that will let me create a baseline of the FE and then as I make changes it will maintain the Delta. Currently I am just storing each version of the FE as a seperate file labled with the date. It would be nice if there was a program that would highlight the differences between 2 version. thanks Terry

Installing both Access 97 runtime and Access XP runtime

Postby Paul » Wed, 27 Aug 2003 22:11:33 GMT

Hi,

I am willing to know if I can install both Access 97 runtime and Access
XP runtime on the same Windows 2000 computer. Not that it is my prefered
path, but I now have both Access97 and Access XP applications to run on
the same client PC and no time to upgade the Access 97 application to
have it run with the Access XP runtime.

Thanks,

P.

3.Access 97 Runtime with Access 2000 installed

Hi,

We have distributed some Access 97 runtime databases to end users as front
end. The backend is located at the File Server.

Recently, their machines get Access 2000 installed for other purposes.

We would like to know when they open the Access 97 runtime databases, will
they be asked for converting it to Access 2000 format ? If YES, and they
press YES, will the runtime still works for them ? Is there any problem if
the front end is Access 97 and the backend is still running Access 97 ?

We only have the Access 97 ODE but without ODE for Access 2000 / 2003.
Should we purchase a copy of the ODE ? If YES, which version should we
purchase ?

Thanks

4.Access 2000 runtime install problem and Office XP ( without access xp) on same machine

Hey all,
I am having a problem installing Access 2000 runtime on a
machine. The machine has Office XP installed on it but it is the SBE version
which DOES NOT include a version of Access XP. When I try to install the
2000 runtime it will get about 1/2 - 3/4 of the way through and then just
sits there and will not finish. Does anyone have a idea about what is going
on or have a solution to this problem ?

Thanks in advance,

Grant
