  • 2. Save Chart as EMF File for Import into Word
Hello, I've successfully been exporting a series of dynamically generated charts from Excel to GIF (I'm programming in VSTO) using code like: Me.Application.ActiveChart.Export("C:\mygraph.gif","GIF") I now need to export these same charts to EMF or WMF so that they can be imported into Word and printed in high quality documents. I've been trying the following, but with no luck: Me.Application.ActiveChart.CopyPicture(Excel.XlPictureAppearance.xlScreen, Excel.XlCopyPictureFormat.xlPicture, Excel.XlPictureAppearance.xlScreen) Dim d As IDataObject = Clipboard.GetDataObject() If (d.GetDataPresent(DataFormats.EnhancedMetafile)) Then Dim pictBox1 As Image pictBox1 = d.GetData(DataFormats.EnhancedMetafile) pictBox1.Save("C:\mygraph.emf") End If Which dies with the error: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. The more I read, the more I feel like I'm nowhere close to the solution yet. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Any help appreciated. Thanks Todd
  • 3. How to create a 2 columns and 2 lines graph with non-related value
Hi, I am trying to create a graph with 2 columns and 2 lines. I am able to get the 2 colums ($000 value) and one line easily ($000 value), however the 4th data series is completely out of range (it's a percentage value ranging between 8 and 10%). I can see the line completely flat on the bottom axis but would like to be able to move it up so it kind of "hangs over" the columns. Any ideas that do not involve complexed programming? Thanks,

I suspect it's the log(0) warning. This pops up whenever a log axis is
specified but a value in the range is either negative, zero, or blank.
Nothing you can do to prevent it other than making sure no values in the
range cause this error.

I have one user of many running IE 6 at the office who can't get the
Information Bar on his IE window to display the options for Pop-ups. Here
are things I have tried/checked:
1) the Pop-up blocker settings have the "Show information Bar when a

2) the site in question is in the "Allowed sites" box of the Pop-up Blocker
3) used control panel to remove temp files and cookies
4) Restored Defaults in Internet Options/Advanced.
5) Made sure Jave is checked in Internet Options/Advanced
Still no Pop-up Information Bar which is needed to run an on-line class.
