  • 1. Pivot Chart Y Axis
Hello I have a Pivot table with 4 different kinds of data on. Two sets of the data are in the 500-900 range and the other two are 5-10 range and 30-50 range. I have these set as a line chart so i can can compare the data over differnet weeks. But with this weighting it makes the lower value ranges harder to see clearly. Is there a way i can change the Y Axis to ditch say 200-400 and bring tham closer together. I Hope this makes sense Thanks

How to rearrange order based on dates of inputs?

Postby FISH » Thu, 22 Sep 2005 17:17:12 GMT

Hello all,

I'm a novice with Excel (using 2002) and need to find out how difficult a
task is to do for someone like me. I don't know much about using Excel other
than adding basic functions.

I want to track entries based on certain categories (each entry will include
date, time, item #, price, etc...). I will need to be able to rearrange the
items based on different parameters such as by date, by item # etc...

How do I go about learning how to add this feature into my spreadsheet?

I'd like to be able to arrange the entries by which ever category I need.

Sorry if this message isn't clear, please ask for further details if those
might help.

Thanks...

After learning about Sort, you should look into Pivot Tables. If the
data is appropriately arranged, you can very quickly generate different
tabular views of it, sorted or grouped in a variety of ways.

I have some pages on pivot tables, including links to more sources:

1.input a date or update it based on date in another cell

-Someone asked me to setup a spreadsheet like this

cell b2 is entered as a date
cell c2 is entered as a number
cell d2 is a calculated date =b2+c2
now cell c2 gets more interesting. the user will enter a date like they did
in b2, but if the number in c2 is changed modifing the date in d2 they want
the date in c3 to be advanced as well.

They want to use it to track some projects using software they have already
paid for and not buy additional software.

2.rearrange cells in random order

I have a list of words in a column that I would like to rearrange in a random

3.Rearrange numbers from a column in a different order in a second c

Hi, I'm using Excel 2003 on Windows. I have a list of 4800 numbers in a
column divided by groups of 5 within a larger group of 80. I need to
rearrange them in a second column with a different order but with a pattern.
Each group of five consecutive numbers are separated by a jump of 6 numbers
up to 75, starting at number ''1''. By using exactly the same pattern, start
this time with number ''6'' up to 80. The same pattern is repeated from 81 to
160, ... up to 4800.

I'm not an expert. Is there an efficient way to rearrange these numbers? Any
help would be great!

In other words, in column A, you have numbers from 1 to 4800. In column B, I
need the numbers to be in the following order:

4.Rearrange numbers from a column in a different order in a seco

The data are % which could be negative. The '' '' was just to say that the
series are continuing following the same pattern. These % are not in order.
Each group of five are data associated with one compound. They have to be
rearranged because they are automatically plotted on a graph with very
complex algorythms.

Thanks for your interest to fix my problem.
