How does one print fast on a dot matrix printer without any doule print or draft ourput which does not appear on the print properties when you select Epson dot matrix printer. There are 17 columns in a report that I want to print but without any double printing or printing the same line twice.(I have suceeded in doing that) i.e in quick mode. I am using Excel 2k running under WinXP and have a problem I have never encountered on any other version or machine. All my workbook tabs are white instead of the default gray and only one sheet at a time can be selected. Neither the Ctrl or shift keys or right clicking the tabs and selecting all will allow multiple sheets to be selected. What am I missing here, I see nothing in options that allows this configuration? Is there a way to set up a workbook so that more than one user ca access the workbook at the same time. For instance, I have set up a invoicing program. When the user clicks on the shortcut to open th program, it automatically generates a sequential invoice number. have to go in and out of the program periodically throughout the da for certain purposes, and this is causing errors because whoever trie to go in second has to open the program read only. Is there some wa that user 1 can go into the program, and then have user 2 go into th same program without causing any read only situations or problems. Furthermore, is there a way to set it up so that when user 1 opens u an invoice, the invoice # becomes automatically generated to 5 for ex. and then if user 2 goes in while user 1 is still in the program it wil recognize that user 1 is using invoice #5 and jump to 6. I have data that includes the month, day, hour, min. When I run th pivot table function to reduce the data to hourly I need the date t repeat in the date column. How can I use a form (Excel) to add a column of data to the right of a list? It's a simple matter to add a column to the left of a list by writing a macro that inserts a column and then pastes the values. However I want to have the data pasted on the right of a list, if only so that I can easily run a chart from it. - 5. how do i password protect my excel worksheet?
File>Save As>Tools>General Options>Password to Open.

As I do a great deal of printing text only,I find my ink jet printer gets expensive !I have tried to install a Star micronics dot matrix Model NX-1000 using windows 98 wizard. At the point where it asks for the printer name and driver ,I enter "A" where I have the proper driver from Star Micronics, but the wizard tell me that it does not contain any info for that printer ! I tried using the generic driver with the same results ! Any suggestions ??
