  • 1. Dragging/ Auto Calculation Problem
Hi all- Issue: I am dragging down rows to auto calculate Problem: It increments in fours Is there a feature that turns this off? Specifics: Sheet2 is four rows of calculations linked from data in on line on Sheet1. (Recorded a Macro to capture this action) So Row 2, Sheet1 is the origin of all my entries on Rows 1,2,3,4 o Sheet2 And Row 3, Sheet1 will be the origin of all my entries on Row 5,6,7,8........Row 4, Sheet1 will be the origin of entries on Row 9,10,11,12 on Sheet2 etc What is Occurring: When I drag boxes on sheet2 to auto complete i starts with Row 6, Sheet1 as the reference, and then Row 10 for th next and Row 14 for the next. I need it to not skip every four but instead go in numerical order Ro 2, 3, 4, 5 Sheet1 etc. Any suggestions? Matt S
  • 2. Problem with EDATE function
I'm creating a commissions statement, and the statement issued is always for the previous month. For instance we're in June currently, but the statements are being issued for sales in May. I know you can refer back a month using the EDATE functiong but I'm not sure how to do it. Do I need to have two cells to do this, one for the current month and then another one to use the edate function to list the previous month or can I do all of this in one cell?
  • 3. Putting in formula to process cell above
I have Excel 2000 on Win 2000. I would like to make a macro to put in a formula in the current cell to multiply the cell above by 1.1, move right 1 cell, then insert a formula to multiply the cell above by 1.1. Help file wasn't helpful. How would I do this? Cell referencing should be relative as I will be doing this on many rows. Thanks. -- Say no to fixed width tables. They look terrible in all browsers.
  • 4. Conditional Hiding of Rows or Columns
Hello Good People, I have a very large spreadsheet with approx 35 columns and over 50 rows. However, I do not need to see all the rows at any point in tim and may want to look at just a limited number of rows. Generally I nee to look at only those rows that have a non zero value in a specifi column. Such rows can be randomly dispersed within the spreadsheet. I can use the option of sorting the full spreadsheet based upon th value of the cells in the particular column, however, this does no help very much as I would need to do this every time I referred to th sheet - which may be upto 20 times a day (the sheet is populate automatically from a database every 15 minutes). If possible I would like the rows to hide and unhide themselve automatically based upon a condition like If value in a specifie column is non zero then hide the row. This will also allow me to retai the original sort order of the rows which is based upon differen columns. Is this possible. Regards and Thanks for Assistanc
  • 5. How do you use ComboBox's as worksheet names in SUM formulas
I am trying to write a SUM formula that would use the values of tw combo boxes to SUM a range of worksheets. The values for these boxes are in cells: Analysis!B7 Analysis!D7 These values are also dates, which are also the names of the worksheet in the workbook. Lets say the selected dates in the two combo boxe are 21-Jun-04 and 12-Jul-04, which means the two cells above would hav the following values: Analysis!B7 = 21-Jun-04 Analysis!D7 = 12-Jul-04 These cells are in text format. There is a worksheet named 28-Jun-0 in between the previously named sheets, so I am able to sum all three. Ill say A1 is the cell I want to add on each sheet. This is what want to be able to do: =SUM('21-Jun-04:12-Jul-04'!A1) except I want it to be user-selectable, kinda like this: =SUM('ComboBox1.Value:ComboBox2.Value'!A1) Any help would be well appreciated. Thanks, Dou

The formula as written is
=SUMIF('21000-Salaries'!$J:$J,"="&(TEXT(C$5,"mmm-yy")),'21000-Salaries'!$E:$E)

However the data from 2100-Salaries is not showing up on the monthly sheet.
