    I was wondering if someone knows how to "unname" (or delete the name) a range of cells I gave a name (1st mistake) and then saved it ( 2nd mistake). Thanks for helping. -- Socrates said: I only know, I don''''t know nothing. I say : I don''''t even know, I don''''t know nothing.

    Hi, I have the following formula: =SUMPRODUCT(--($A$10:$A$5000>=Sheet2!$P$3),--($A$10:$A$5000<=Sheet2!$R$3),--($B$10:$B$5000=N3),--($E$10:$E$5000<TIME(41,40,0)),$D$10:$D$5000) What its suppose to do is to filters a criteria (col B) between two dates (col A), it then totals all the hours for that month under 41 hours and 40 minutes. I have a running total for that month on column E. Sheet2!$P$3 and Sheet2!$R$3 are the two dates. I get a figure but not the correct one. Can anybody help? -- capt

Is anyone having problems with nested subtotaling in XP Excel

Since being put onto Windows XP I've had disappointing/useless results from
my subtotalling routines. Typically I will nest subtotals and this is where
I'm getting inconsistencies.

Data is out of line, "Grand total" are empty .. just ugly

What could be the problem?

Apparently, it's a known problem that should be corrected by installing this
hotfix:

Multilevel subtotals are in the wrong position in Excel 2002 and in Excel
2003

1.I am having problems with a IF(AND(OR nested function

it all works except for H6>=6,I6>=6,J6>=6,K6>=6,L6>=6 in each if
statement. Sometimes these cells are blank; therefore, there is no
calculation, but it must calculate if a number >=6 is in this cell

=IF(AND(M6>29.9,F6<19),32*5,IF(AND(M6>29.9,F6>=19),
30*5,IF(AND(M6<30,F6<19,H6>=6,I6>=6,J6>=6,K6>=6,L6>=6),
39*S6,IF(AND(M6<30,F6<19,H6>=6,I6>=6,J6>=6,K6>=6),
39*S6,IF(AND(M6<30,H6<6,I6<6,J6<6,K6<6),26*S6,0)))))

Can anyone help me figure this out. Thank you so much in advance!

2.Subtotals problem: Excel 2003 (not, AFAIK, the nested subtotals bug)

3.Experienced any problems with nested subtotals using Windows XP

I have sorted my spreadsheet in the order of levels - outer subtotal as
primary sort, next level as secondary sort. Then I have created subtotals
for the outer (primary) group. Once complete I have nested the subtotal for
the secondary item. The subtotal for the second level is appearing (on
occasion) below the primary subtotal instead of above.

4.Problem with nested subtotals, placing secondary subtotals BELOW .

I some but not all spreadsheets, my nested subtotal (slsperson) is placed
below the primary subtotal (branch). It has only happened to me since
upgrading to Excel 2003.

I sort by Branch, slsperson, customer. Then Primary subtotal is branch
(checks on replace current subtotals and summary below) and all is fine. Then
when I do subtotal on Slsperson it will place (above items unchecked) the
slsperson subtotal BELOW the branch. And also the levels (1,2,3) are not
displaying properly.

Does anyone have a suggestion for me?

5.Errors in Nested Subtotals for Excel XP and 2003

When I nest a subtotal in Excel XP or 2003, some of the secondary subtotals
appear below the primary ones. When I summarize up one level, the detail for
these secondary subtoals still show.

This is an example of how it should look:

primary detail     secondary detail
primary detail     secondary detail
                         SECONDARY SUBTOTAL
PRIMARY SUBTOTAL

This is how some of mine display:

primary detail     secondary detail
primary detail     secondary detail
PRIMARY SUBTOTAL
                         SECONDARY SUBTOTAL

And, when I summarize at the Secondary Sutotal level, the Detail stil shows.

Has anyone else experianced this problem? If so, how did you fix it?
