Hi, Ive never came across this one myself but a client running XP pro and OE6 (not sure if its SP1 with all updates) and when he clicks on Tools there is no option for Accounts. However he can still send and receive email without any hickups. Any got any ideas? Could it be with profiles in OE6? Or is there a way in user profiles of XP Pro that something like this can be disabled? Thanks Mark

When I open (right click on picture inside emails to save
it, it shows as .BMP as the only option, although the
picture arrived as a .JPG. I can save it as a JPG by
typing that extention to the picture. All pictures use
to arrive in the format that they were sent, until
recently.

Clear the Temporary Internet Files. In IE>Tools>Internet Options>
Delete Files button. And check the box to Delete Offline content.

Not sure what you mean. Using Outlook Express, went to
Tools>Options>...could not find "Delete Files button".

In Internet Explorer, (IE). Not in Outlook Express, (OE).

Clear the Temporary Internet Files. In IE>Tools>Internet Options>
Delete Files button. And check the box to Delete Offline content.

This should work. Let us know.

In IE: Tools>Internet Options>Advanced. Under Security, Check: "Empty
Temporary Internet files................."

The only problem is that I'm on my third computer, and even with
that checked, it never worked!!!

I downloaded the free "Disk Cleaner" which can delete selected items
with a click of the mouse. Take a look.

1.Attached .jpg file arrive as .bmp files

I'm using OE 6. My photos are always saved as .jpg files. One client
always receives them as .bmp files?

I've checked all my settings and can't figure out why they are being changed
from jpg to bmp. Does this happen to anyone else and how can I correct it?
I've tried attaching the .jpg file and inserting it but it makes no
difference.

2.When insert picture JPG I am getting picture rather than attac

The meathod of inserting is:
Insert button from tool bar,
Move down to picture and open,
Select from file, this takes me to My Picture,
select picture and insert.
In the past the picture was inserted as an attachment
rather then placing it in the body of email.
Would like to have picture as an attachment again.
Thanks . . .

5.Embedding JPG Pictures that are Attached to Email

Hi,

I have pictures that are in jpg format from a digital camera that I uploaded
to my computer and edited using Picasa2. I was able to add captions and
save the pictures. Only when I attach the picture to an email I want to
send out, the name of the picture is listed at the top, but the picture
itself is not displayed in the main body of the email so that the sender can
scroll thru them. I use outlook express 6, internet explorer 7,norton
internet security 7 and windows xp with service pack 2 installed also. I
have people sending me email including pictures that are embedded and I can
scroll through them and would like to do the same. Any help would be
appreciated. Thanks.
