Hi all. I have a very funny problem with outlook express. I receive an email recently which has a table in the message. However that table was split all over the email message hence not showing a table but when i click on forward button a proper table was formed in the forward message. Moreover clicking the forward button also produce different colour on the same text when comparing the original message and the message about to be forwarded. Why is this so? Thks in advance
  • 4. Multi-Accessing Outlook Express 6 Caused Problem
Hello, We set up outlook express on a server to receive emails sent to a general address, like customerservice@..... Two people log onto the server by remote desktop to check emails. (The server is running Windows 2003 Server.) Sometimes the second person to log on is unable to reply or forward emails. He would get this error msg: "The address book failed to load. Outlook express is incorrectly configured. Please re-install." I am pretty sure it is caused by multiple access to outlook express. coz if both of the users log off, then one user log back on, it would be fine. Is there any way to fix it? or Could you guys recommend me a better way to handle this? We don't have exchange server and are not planning to buy one. Is there any other softwares that can handle multiple access better? Thanks in advance, Jason

delays in receiving pop3 emails sent by MSN accts to any Yahoo acc

Postby U3BvcnRzbHV2cg » Sun, 03 Jun 2007 00:28:03 GMT

I've noticed that any emails sent by my MSN POP3 account to any Yahoo email
address ([e.g. XXXX@XXXXX.COM ], including those who are POP3 account at
yahoo) takes a long time to arrive ranging from 30 minutes to several hours,
sometimes a day or two later.

This is also true for any emails sent by other MSN pop3 accounts (other than
my msn account) to any yahoo email accounts, who similarly take a long to
arrrive
at the ' XXXX@XXXXX.COM ' email address recipient.

There seems to be issues between emails sent and received between MSN and
Yahoo email addresses.

I've had the new pop3 settings since the end of January (i.e. I'm using
pop3.live.com and smtp.live.com in Outlook Express 6), as per 'PA Bear' has
kindly outlined instructions in previous postings.

1) Has anyone has similar delay issues with sending email from MSN POP3
accounts to Yahoo accounts
(big delays) or conversely receining emails from yahoo to msn (also big
delays)?

2) Has it been reported?

3) Are these delay problems b/c of capacity contraints that might now exist
on the live.com servers that may not have existed on the
pop3/smtp.email.msn.com servers?

Thanks very much for your assistance!

P.S. Using XP Pro SP2, IE6 SP2, OE6

Taking a look at the Received headers in some delayed mails might give a
clue as to where the delay is. In a received message look at the
Message Source (Ctrl-F3). Each server that the message passes through
inserts a header with a time stamp. The top most header is the most
recent.

If you find a gap between two Yahoo or between two MSN servers, then you
know where the problem lies. But if it's between MSN and Yahoo, you
can't tell if the problem is on the receiver's end or sender's end.

I have been experiencing the same issue - only as of about Mon 6/4. Yahoo
Mail Plus support hasn't been to help. I'd haven't made any configuration
changes before or subsequent to Monday, nor experienced the problem using non
POP3 web mail accounts.

Any insight would be much appreciated.

I'm runing: MS Vista, Outlook 2007, Yahoo Mail Plus, Norton Internet
Security 2007

Thanks,

Since Monday 6/4 I've experienced the same issue. Delays as long as 10 hrs.
Yahoo Mail Plus support has only been able to confirm I've got the correct
configuration for my POP3 mail in MS Outlook. They haven't been willing/able
to provide an answer whether they're experiencing server performance / volume
issues.

Bottom line is I can't afford more time troubleshooting - especially if it's
just an issue of Yahoo's capacity

Any help / guidance appreciated

Thx

This is what I wrote for the original poster:

But there's nothing you can do on your end to fix the problem other than
complain to the mail services.

Original message was multiposted to other groups. The correct group for msn pop3 and msn http issues is public.msn.discussion.
Visit that forum for the full thread discussion.

Note:
The symptom is not universal across all MSn accounts and servers.
The symptom does occur in some cases on other isps to Yahoo and Yahoo to other isps.
No new information is available.
Contacting MSn and Yahoo support is the only alternative at this time.

I had the issue at end of June for a week or so that any mail from my
MSN Mail to yahoo was delayed. this is happening again and seems to
only be from MSN mail generated to Yahoo, I have sent several msgs to
both MSN and Yahoo, with headers to determine why, so far after two
days have not heard back yet from either support services

I have setup to receive my gmail, live, and yahoo emails in Outlook Express

Furthermore, I am not able to send any emails from any of the email accounts

2.Duplicate Email Messages Received From POP3 Account Every Send/Receive

I am receiving duplicate email messages every send/receive from my
yahoo.verizon email account (POP3 server). I had up to 4 emails of each and
every time I send/receive another appears (even as I'm deleting them).

I just received this computer yesterday and set it up yesterday.

Originally, the "Leave a copy of messages on sever" was unchecked (advanced
account settings under tools) and I had the problem. I have since checked
this box and the "Remove from server when deleted from 'Deleted Items'. I
still hav the problem.

Any suggestions? I've searched the Windows Mail 'Help' and the help at my
email service provider with no solution.

4.Receiving Email from Personal & Work Accts into Inbox & Sent Folde

Have used Rules Wizard to direct emails sent to and from my work address into
a separate inbox and sent folder from what's used for my personal account.
Am wondering if there is a way to write the rule wizard for the send-action
such that only one copy of the sent email is left in the work Sent Folder
instead of the sent email being left in both the personal Sent Folder and in
the work Sent Folder? I am using the personal account as my default. Thanks.
