I want to click on a link in an email and have IE open Full Screen
by Z2Vpc3RtYW4 » Mon, 19 Sep 2005 08:35:01 GMT
When I receive an email that has a hyperlink, if I click on the link,
Internet Explorer does not open in Full Screen mode (if I run IE directly, it
does open full screen).
Is there a setting or registry key that will change this so that when I
click on a link inside an email, IE will open in Full Screen mode?
Thanks in advance for your replies.

Open such a window to full screen by grabbing the corners and dragging it to
full size, then immediately close it using the 'x' in the upper right hand
corner. Now reopen it and it should remember the last size until such time
as you again resize it before closing. Just clicking the maximize button in
the upper right hand corner does not have the same effect of "remembering"
the chosen size.

What Jim suggested is the closest you'll get to Full Screen without pressing
F11.

I.E. 5.5 on W2k, is there a way to click a link and have it open a new I.E.
window by default, without using the right click "open in a new window"
option?
Doesn't matter to me but a user opened a ticket on it. After looking around
it appears that the right click method is the way it's supposed to work. He
said it used to work that way, a left click and it would open a new windows.
This was before the company was taken off Novell and onto AD, and everyone's

4.Over 50 empty IE windows open when I click a link to an email address
The subject box ALMOST says it all.....I have 4 users on my home
computer and this only happens in one of the accounts.
I can link to web pages with no problem but if I link to an email

50 - 60 empty Internet Explorer windows open one after the other.
This happens if I click a link in Outlook Express or in Mozilla ( my

5.clicking on a link in email causes a new IE window to open
Is there any way to get Outlook Express to open links in a new tab if I

that when 2 versions of IE are open at the same time it can cause both to
crash.
I have IE8 set so that when I click on a link on a webpage, it opens in a

the explorer that is already running?
Thank you.
