I was running Outlook with BCM 2007 without problems. I installed the TR and ran into trouble with the BCM TR. Now, I have B2TR Outlook installed and some form of BCM on my system. The uninstaller for Beta does not recognize the BCM version. Outlook B2TR issues an error at startup saying that the BCM version is incompatible. The uninstaller for B2TR BCM also fails. BCM B2TR is in a strange state. BCM will not run, will not uninstall, will not reinstall, and will not repair. What can I do to get this feature running?

The error is that I do not receive a Report. (not any one of the Reports.) When I click to receive a Report (e.g. Accounts) there is then some activity on the harddisk. Instead I receive after approx. 10 seconds a little grey error box that tells me: "Report could not be generated. Please try again" OK So my problem is that I do not receive a Report. BTW: I just saw there is a second thread about this same item from AJS further down - 3. Missing Contact History
Help! My business contacts are all still there but I'm missing the contact history. Sometimes it will "reappear" but more often than not all the history is gone. Interestingly although I'm not sure it's related but if I click the Add... button against the business contact history box it does nothing. Any help gratefully received! Thanks Brendan - 4. Having recently been persuaded to upgrade to this, despite my concerns, I am now experiencing significant problems with it. 1. I cannot modify the reports beyond the dialogue screen that is provided. Crystal Reports 10 will not work with these reports 2. The paramters on the report dialogue screens , in the main are not enabled - I want to add e-mail address to the main contact report and this choice is simply not available. 3. When sending an e-mail, if I choose a BCM contact as well as a non-bcm contact the mail will not send - if however I remove one or the other of the addressees so that the message is going to either bcm only or non bcm, it works fine. I think this shows that Microsoft still have an enormous way to go to get this to match even the most basic contact management systems on the market. Roll on release 3,4,5 etc. - 5. When will the new release of BCM be?
I really like Mircosoft programs even though so many are anti. I'm really trying to keep BCM as the use for this company but if it can't live up to some of the more simple tasks of other contact managment programs soon then I'll be forced to go back to ACT! I was wondering when the new version would be released or if I could be notified AS SOON as this info is public. One of the most important features I need to know if it'll be upgraded to as well is the option to share a database across my network, so that all changes made within BCM are accessible to all members of the office. When I ran into this with SBA 2007, I had to manually recreate the install folder structure. Check your %temp% folder (start, Run, %temp%, OK) for log files as they should offer additionaal clues. It sounds like B2TR did not get installed and an uninstall of B2 original BCM is in order. -- Leonid S. An Addendum - 10 minutes later) I just went into the DATA FILE MANAGEMENT setting on OLK (outlook) and added BCM. HI - whew - please help me get my OUTLOOK w/bcm to show my BC's again. I excitedly have the fat 2 disk set of OFFICE SBM 2006. It works but for the BCM (the second most important part after email). In increasingly desperate attempts to get it to function correctly, I read and did most of what was suggested here in this forum. I put in CD ONE to put in OUTLOOK, put in CD 2 to added BCM (and accounting) and after several attempts of install and un-install and re-install I got it to work - BUT with NO TOOLBAR. sigh... 2 days full of frustrating hours I have NO BCM, NO TOOLBAR and NO MORE CLUES as to what to do. PULEEEEZE TEAM MS - help me get back to work here. FEEDBACK CLUES: The registry (as in another post) says: REGDWORD (3) and I've done ALL of the updates. 4.Importing BCM 2003 backup in another language in B2TR and Outlook 2007 with BCM
I once downloaded the whole Office 2007. With BCM it went completely wrong. It as not possible to import the backup of BCM 2003 into Outlook 2007, 'Sorry, wrong language' the error message was. (BCM 2007 did not convert my BCM 2003 database automatically). And so I had to end Office 2007, reinstall Outlook 2003 and BCM 2003, which took about an hour. Now there is the Technical Refresh. Will I now be able to import the Dutch BCM 2003 backup? Or will the conversion of BCM 2003 to BCM 2007 succeed during installation? Is there anyone having positive experiences? Paolo
5.Install/Uninstall Purgatory BCM B2TR
I had Office 2007 with BCM running well. I installed B2TR. Outlook and everything else installed and ran fine. For some reason the BCM install failed. I then tried to uninstall BCM for Outlook 2007 (not the B2TR) and the uninstall failed. I then tried to reinstall BCM for Outlook 2007. It failed. I am completely stuck. BCM does not run, and I can neither uninstall the current cofiguration nor repair it. The B2TR will not install, either. ...very grateful for suggestions...
