Ok I have been trying to install the BCM 2007 now for the past week. When I put the dvd in and click on setup it only gives me the option to repair or uninstall BCM 2007? I haven't instaled it yet? So I have tried to repair and uninstall it. Nothing. I would like to use BCM in conjunction with MS accounting 2007 and groove 2007. Any suggestions would be appreciated. many thanks in advance. Timm
  • 2. Customize Account View
Account View - I'd like to sort accounts by Account rating, then by alphabetical account. I've tried all the customize view options and can't find a way to sort by this account field. This allows me to view accounts by client group size. Is there a better way to sort accounts? I've tried this and categorizing by color, and can't seem to get the view to reflect changes.

Is it possible to integrate BCM with Microsoft Navision? If yes - how to do it?
  • 4. FWIW
That did NOT work for me at all. I tried and failed to get BCM installed using this and a few other approaches. Any ideas are welcome.
  • 5. Black backgrounds on BCM icons
Hi All, All of the sudden, some of the icons in BCM are showing up with black backgrounds. These are the icons that are in the second grouping form the left on the upper toolbar such as "General", "Details" and "History". I'm assuming the black background is the alpha channel for the icon but they should not be visible. Instead it should be transparent to showt he toolbar color throug it. Anyone else seeing this behavior? Thanks, Jim

How do I create an outlook (business account manager) database on a folder
that is a sub folder on my organization's MS Exhange Public folders noting
that I already have ownership previlages for that folder. I am currenty
limited to creating the database on my computer which is practibally not
sharable. Is there a work around?

1.create a new business contact manager database

When i first started with outlook 2003 a few months ago, i set up some of my
business contacts in the bcm database. Now I want to put all of my husbands
own clients in a separate database, on my computer, then send it to his
computer.
First question: Was it wise of me to set up a separate database?
2nd question: If so, why, when i did set up a new database, can't i find my
old database of my business contacts? When i click on "business contacts" on
the side toolbar.....the database is blank. Hopefully someone will tell me,
it's there.....and i can switch back and forth.....i just need to find it.
AND not that it overrode the old one :-(
3rd question can i put new fields in the individual contact screen. there
are a few fields i don't really need, and a few others i'd like to put in. Is
that possible?

Sorry for so many questions!
Thanks for any help :-)

I am trying to share a database in Business Contact Manager, but I get a
dialog box telling me I must be the person who created the database. I am
the person who created the database, but it's not allowing me to share.

How can I get Business Contact Manager to acknowledge me as the person who
created the database.

4.Outlook 2003/Business Contact Manager/Getting Things Done Add-

Kyle,

From your Outlook enable your addins one by one after the BCM add in is
enabled. This worked for me.

From Outlook - Help > About > Disabled Items

I hope this helps

5.Outlook 2003/Business Contact Manager/Getting Things Done Add-in

I am looking for a solution for two business partners who want to use Outlook
as a CRM. I have the GTD add-in and when I installed the BCM, none of my
add-ins would work and Outlook wanted to disable all of them.

I restored my system to before the installation. Is it possible to have
these add-ins and BM?

Is it possible to use Outlook and achieve the same *report* results as you
would get using ACT! - a top-level report of all of the clients and their
status, activities, notes, etc?
