    I have drop down lists created in both my Accounts and Business Contacts in BCM. For some reason the drop down lists in my user defined fields in Business Contact Manager do not appear in the individual records. I can see the lists if I go to Customize Forms and Edit form the main Business Contact Manager tool bar. So, I really did create them. Any ideas? -- Looking for the good in everything...although it''s hard to find in some of this software crazyness.
  • 2. 2007 Office Standard & 2007 Small Business Trial
    I have 07 Office Standard - and would love to test the BCM in Outlook. Unfortunately I bought the one that does not come with it. I've downloaded the Small Business Trial, installed it - but Outlook is still my Standard version. Is there a way to test BCM on my computer with my own settings without having to uninstall the Standard version? Also, would I be able to purchase the BCM standalone and have it run with Standard Office or will I have to purchase the Outlook 07/BCM software again? Thanks!
  • 3. Database stops
    Outlook 2007 with BCM Vista Ultimate Recently I have continuously receveivd the message that something cannot be completed because the BCM database (MSSMLBIZ) is stopped. I must then go into the SQL server configuration manager and start it again. I would like to not have to do this.
  • 4. How do I add mass information from excel to contacts in Outlook?
    I have 909 potential buyer's emails as contacts on Microsoft outlook. I have their names and email addresses, but I also want to add all their phone numbers, addresses, companies and locations; information which is all located in an excel spreadsheet I already have. How do I move all relevant information across, and hopefully onto the right person?

    I want to sync my business contacts, from business contact manager, to my contacts on my AT&T Tilt phone with Windows Mobile 6.0 professional. How do I do this?

their website it seems the only support option is paid support ... thank you.

2.How to Fix Unhandled exception in OUTLOOK.EXE: Access Violation is

Hello Everyone,

We have a Outlook 2003 AddIn developed in VB.NET (.NET1.1)

We have a customise form (.oft) for out contact item.
So when we open that Contact Form and click on the Insert->Item option on
the Menu bar; we get following error:

"Unhandled exception at 0x30069a0b in OUTLOOK.EXE: 0xC0000005: Access
violation reading location 0x00000000."

What could be the problem?
Any solution to this problem?
Thanks,
Rupang

3.Help with Unhandled Exception in Outlook Add-in

Please help me determine the cause of an unhandled exception
in my C++-based Outlook add-in.
I am using C++ smart pointers, as generated in "msoutli.tli".

I get:
"Unhandled Exception C0000005 Access Violation reading 007500b6"

Here is the C++ generated source, from "msoutl.tli":

inline HRESULT Attachment::SaveAsFile ( _bstr_t Path ) {
    HRESULT _hr = raw_SaveAsFile(Path);
    if (FAILED(_hr)) _com_issue_errorex(_hr, this, __uuidof(this));
    return _hr;
}

The crash is occurring in raw_SaveAsFile.

Here is the disassembly of the line where the exception occurs:

    HRESULT _hr = raw_SaveAsFile(Path);
0745456F  lea         ecx,[Path]
07454572  call        _bstr_t::operator unsigned short * (7417CA8h)
07454577  mov         esi,esp
07454579  push        eax
0745457A  mov         eax,dword ptr [this]
0745457D  mov         ecx,dword ptr [eax]
0745457F  mov         edx,dword ptr [this]
07454582  push        edx
07454583  call        dword ptr [ecx+54h]

My Path variable looks okay, I think:

m_Data: 0x074d84b0
{
    m_wstr=0x00203604 "C:\Program Files\as\Backup\Deleted
Items\filename.txt"
    m_mstr=0x00000000 <Bad Ptr>
    m_RefCount: 2
}

The "call dword ptr [ecx+54h]" is causing the unhandled exception,
because ecx + 54h = 007500b6 (the address that can't be accesssed).

Why is the target of the call messed up?

FYI,
here is the rest of the disassembly of "HRESULT _hr =
raw_SaveAsFile(Path);",
after the call dword ptr[ecx+54h]:

07454586  cmp         esi,esp
07454588  call        @ILT+5875(__RTC_CheckEsp) (74186F8h)
0745458D  mov         dword ptr [_hr],eax

Thanks very very much for any assistance!!

I will leave the debugger open,
in case more information would be helpful.

Thank you,
Mike

4.Adding Events to Calendar generates "Unhandled Exception"

The first event can be added to my calendar with no
problem. When the second event is added or when the first
event is re-opened, I get the following error
message. "Unhandled exception in Outlook.exe
(OLAUT32.dll); 0x0000005 (0r other memory address): Access
Violation. I have already 1. Deleted and reinstalled
Outlook. 2. Followed the instructions in Microsoft KB -
264796 and unchecked Com Ad-Ins. 3. The Latest servic
packs and updates are installed both th MS Office and the
Win 2000 Operating System.
