  • 1. How do I print a report in BCM that shows only one group?
Using Outlook 2003 with Business Contact Manager Update SP2, how do I print a report that shows only contacts in a particular group or category?
  • 2. Restoring 'linked to' field in BCM Business History
I have accidentally deleted the 'Linked To' field in the Business History view in BCM. When I go to the Field Chooser, I can only see Outlook-related options, not any of the BCM functionality. I've reinstalled the BCM software from scratch - but that hasn't restored the default setting - can anyone help?
  • 3. BCM error messsage
I am getting the following error when I first start Outlook 2003: he operation failed. An object could not be found. The title of the box is: Business Contact Manager, I am also not getting the menu Business Tools. When I try to open a BCM Account contact, it says it could not initialize the form. I have tried reinstalling the BCM update and checked the Help>> About Outlook>> Disabled Items to see if BCM was there, neither have worked.
  • 4. bcm new field in contacts
Hello, i have made a new form for the contacts in BCM. now, if i like to show this field say( amount ) in the phone list vieuw, BCm will ad the field to the list but will not show me the content of the field. what am i doing wrong??? thanks, Tom.
  • 5. BCM will not open unless I'm the Administrator
When my account is a member of Power Users, BCM gives me the error "The set of folders could not be opened. The server is not available......" When I assign the account as an Administrator troubleshoot, everything works just fine. The account has always been part of BCMUsers, but BCMUsers doesn't seem to work. I removed the users, rebooted, re-assigned them several times, but nothing helped. I also created a new account to see if the error was a bug in my account and assigned the new account to BCMUsers and Power Users and still could not get access. I saw a post by Leonid who replied to someone who seemed to have similar problems, and tried to activate any SQL files in services.msc. I found one that was set to manual start and changed it to Automatic. I then logged off and tried again. That didn't work either. Finally, just for the sake of trying something different, I uninstalled Outlook and re-installed it. You guessed it....no help. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks

Vendor/Customer Relationships

Postby VGhvcmFu » Wed, 22 Mar 2006 04:35:31 GMT

A client of mine, a manufacturers' rep, wants to relate his customer accounts
to his supplier accounts. It isn't clear if or how this can be done in BCM.
Any suggestions or clarification how accounts would be set up to establish
direct account-to-account relationships would be appreciated.

I think there are only two levels.

1. Business Contact
2. Account

I am not aware of Account to Account relationships possible in BCM.
