Has anyone gotten this to work with Vista and BCM 2007
Windows Vista RTM and Outlook 2007 with BCM working just fine here.
Right but this was BCM for Pocket PC. Anyways, I had to upgrade the phone to Windows Mobile 5.0 and install Windows Mobile Device Driver for vista.
1.How to make the Contacts on a Pocket PC Phone default to Business Contacts Manager contacts
I am running MS Outlook 2007 with Business Contacts Manager. I also have a Pocket PC phone which I sync with Outlook. Currently, my personal contacts in Outlook are synced to the default contacts in the phone. If I want to look at the BCM contacts in the phone, I have to go to Start -> Business Contacts. I would like to have the contacts from Business Contacts Manager be the default contacts in the phone, so when I go to dial a contact, the list of contacts are those from BCM, not my personal contacts. Anyone know how to do this? Thanks.
2.Share/Copy .PST data PC#1 Outlook 2003 {--} PC#2 Outlook 2007 Business Contact Manager
I have 2 PC's with Office 2003 Pro. I want to install the Office 2007 Beta on one of the PC's, at least the MS Outlook 2007 module, and I want to install THAT with the Business Contact Manager 2007. Will I be able to safely copy my data, i.e. my .PST files back & forth over the coming months between the PC running Outlook 2003 WITHOUT BCM and the one running Outlook 2007 WITH Business Contact Manager? I mean is there any incompatibility between the data files used by Office 2007 and Office 2003? I know that the Business Contact Manager stores its data in MSDE (SQL Server), but is that separate from the Contacts, Emails, Calendar Data in Outlook? -- "J. J."
3.Add contact to Business Contacts in Business Contact Manager f
If the manual way of doing it that Monica describes does suit your needs, there is a quick way to add a Business Contact from an e-mail. Especially if you want to add many at a time, in a few clicks. The method is a little obscure, but here is how: 1. In your inbox's list of incoming (or any other) mails, right click the e-mail. 2. Then select "E-mail Auto-link". 3. A dialog box pops up with all of the addresses in the mail. 4. The ones that you currently do not have a Business Contact for have "unknown" in the column. 5. Select the one(s) you want to make into Business Contacts and click OK 6. The Business Contact has been added, and will have its e-mail autolinked as well (which can then be turned off again if you don't want it). 7. Now fill in the rest of the Business Contact information as appropriate, as Full Name and e-mail address are already populated in the Business Contact.
