I'm using Outlook 2007 with BCM and noticed that if I delete a meeting from the business contact's history, that it doesn't actually delete off the calendar. Or visa versa. Deleting from the calendar still keeps the appointment in the contact's history. Is this a bug or is it like that on purpose for some reason? -Frankie

I moved many of my Outlook contacts to under BCM accounts. I want to e-mail everyone under one account. Is there an easy way to create a distribuition list for all those members or do I have to individually pick each one?

BCM generates error message "The Information Store could not be opened" at Outlook Startup. I'm running Microsoft Professional Outlook 2003 v 11.8206.8202 in a corporate environment on Exchange Server. BCM stopped working during a recent PC startup. I have uninstalled BCM and MSSQL$MICROSOFTSMLBIZ and reinstalled. The install completes without error BCM generates the same error when Outlook is started. I have tried creating a new database which is successful but the same error occurs when Outlook starts. Jerry

..also when I go to Start>All Programs the only choice I have under BCM are
to run help or to take a tour (the tour does not work).
When I go to Outlook everything behaves and looks no different after BCM
installed.

I cannot figure out how to start or run the program

Hi Joshu

Do you see a folder for Business Contact Manager to your right hand side in
the folder list also do you have Business Tools coz if both of them are
avalaible that means the program has suceessfully associated itself with
Outlook. Also if you are using it for the first time this webcast would
really help you a lot

2.existing BCM 2003 & trial BCM 2007

I probably have a basic question, but still need to know the answer:

I have two users on my laptop. User #1 and user #2 are currently using 2003
BCM. I am about to download the free trial of Office 2007 primarily to check
out BCM 2007 for user #1. However, I see a note warning current BCM 2003
users that they will need to uninstall BCM 2003 and this has me
worried...both for user #1's existing BCM data but especially for user #2's
existing BCM data. If I go through with this, can someone assure me not to
worry and/or give me the solution? Can user #1 try out 2007 and user #2 still
use 2003? And if I chicken out, can user #1 go back to 2003 without issue?
Thanks for your help.

3.(revised) INSTALL BCM - uninstall BCM - install BCM - still no BCM

An Addendum - 10 minutes later)
I just went into the DATA FILE MANAGEMENT setting on OLK (outlook) and added
BCM. Like before - it installs it but there is NO TOOLBAR so I cannot
restore - move - or add contact to my old BCM contact database. (from a
previous version of outlook). SO - my problems are reduced to ADDING THE BCM
TOOLBAR to the top of my OUTLOOK 2003 window.
I have the OUTLOOK CONNECTOR showing but no BCM. thanx again - in advance -

4.INSTALL BCM - uninstall BCM - install BCM - still no BCM

HI - whew - please help me get my OUTLOOK w/bcm to show my BC's again.

I excitedly have the fat 2 disk set of OFFICE SBM 2006. It works but for the
BCM (the second most important part after email). In increasingly desperate
attempts to get it to function correctly, I read and did most of what was
suggested here in this forum. I put in CD ONE to put in OUTLOOK, put in CD 2
to added BCM (and accounting) and after several attempts of install and
un-install and re-install I got it to work - BUT with NO TOOLBAR. sigh... 2
days full of frustrating hours I have NO BCM, NO TOOLBAR and NO MORE CLUES as
to what to do.

PULEEEEZE TEAM MS - help me get back to work here.
FEEDBACK CLUES: The registry (as in another post) says: REGDWORD (3) and
I've done ALL of the updates. BIG CLUE - I also re-installed WINXP (pro) and
noticed it added me (log in name) twice, once as DRIX (primary) and NOW I'm
DRIX.millhouse (my network) with my other programs still listed there but w/o
functionality to them. (sigh again...) PULEEEZE help me kidz - im losing
time - patience - AND the names/numbers to MY CLIENTS!!!!!!! (yikes!)
THANX - I'll be here waiting for your holy words of cure.

5.BCM and Outlook problem ( BCM fails to start)

Here is the scenario. After starting outlook, I click on BCM and the
drop-down comes up, I select accounts and Outlook unloads. I can click on BCM
then on the dropdown I select BCM home. That does come up but the default
goes to sales. Then I click on home and a message appears that says "Business
Contact Manager for Outlook could not complete your last action or actions.
Please try again" I click on OK and the action is completed. Then I can click
on accounts. The same message as above appears and when i click O.K. the
accounts are there.
after working in "accounts" if I click on anything else "mail, calendar or
notes" Outlook unloads again..
Here is what I have tried.
I have gone to the services and made sure all of the SQL services were
started. Some were in manual and I changed them to automatic.
I the looked at the event log and I show an error. The source is
"MSSQLServerADHelper ". Under description it says " "0" is an invalid number
of start up parameters. This service takes two start up parameters."

I am using XP and using outlook 2007 with sp2 with BCM version 3.00.8619.01
I have searched numerous sites that have got me this far, but I am stuck. Do
I have to uninstall BCM and reinstall.
