  • 1. Deleted items folder in o2k3
    The big boss refuses to empty or archive his deleted items, now holding some 25,000 messages and approaching 3 gigs in size for the deleted items folder alone. Does Outlook treat messages in the deleted items folder any differently than messages in other folders? Would it be better for him to never delete messages since he doesn't really want to delete them?
  • 2. File attachment autocomplete
    In Outlook 2000, I could type a portion of the filename I wanted to attach to a mesage, and Outlook would fill in the rest of the name. Since my IT department upgraded me, that doesn't seem to work anymore, and it was really useful to me -- is there any way to retain or recreate this functionality in Outlook 2002 or later?   • 3. Send/Receive Messages
    I am using Outlook 2002 on an XP platform. I cannot get Outlook to check for Email at regular intervals. I have the my Outlook set to Send and Receive all my accounts every 10 minutes but nothing happens. The only way I can receive Emails is by manually using the Send/Recv button or pressing F9. Can anyone offer any help. In case it is relevant I am using Norton Internet Security 2003. PWS

    Hi all I have a small domain setup with around 10 users and 10 machines, what I am looking to achieve is that when any user logs on to any workstation (Windows XP Pro) they simply have to launch Outlook and it will display the correct mailbox. I have an Exchange Server (2000) server which stores all of the users email. I know this is certainly possible and no doubt there are several ways to achieve this but I was looking for a few examples. TIA Craig
  • 5. OL2002->OL2003 migration issue
    OL2002-2003 in a Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 environment. Public Folders used for incoming e-mails from outside the company. In OL2002, displaying and customizing the OL bar, when a new messages arrives in a Public Folder, I see the usual bold (1) near that folder's icon. In OL2003 the OL bar is no more, replaced by the "links" view, which I think it's better, but nothing appears if a new message arrives in a public folder, even if, of course, there is a link to that folder in my "links" view. Is there any solution? thanks k

I seem to be getting a duplicate attachment every once in 
a while that is displayed in outlook with my IMAP 
configured mail client.  If I check it from another 
computer or via the web interface it appears that there is 
only one copy on the IMAP mail server even though for some 
erason outlook displays two icons in the attachment section

I use a free automated service from Yahoo and yesterday, they sent me a 
normal email about it on a POP3 account through my ISP email address.  But 
since then, I receive the exact same email (all marked Wed 4/20/05 at 
11:36am) every ten minutes when I have my Outlook 2002 open (the emails do 
not accumulate when I don't have Outlook open).

I've actually heard back from Yahoo and they insist there's nothing unusual 
on their end.  I've also set up a filter on my ISP's end to automatically 
block this particular email, but that hasn't worked.  Therefore, my guess is 
that this is an Outlook issue, rather than with Yahoo or my ISP.  Any help is 
greatly appreciated.

2.Outlook every 10 seconds or so sends a message 

Hi,

In our organization we have Outlook as mail client an 
exchange as a server.  Some time ago (2 weeks) outlook 
became instable. It sends and receives the mail but, every 
x seconds it send the message "Outlook is retrieving data 
from the Microsoft Exchange Server 'MYSERVER' ..", the 
first time I it happends I recreate the profile and 
install the offices update available and the problem 
disappear. The same happen to other computers but not a 
the same time and installing the updates outlook stops to 
send the message. But now it appears again on my computer, 
another person from the company says that the profile gets 
corrupted and I need to recreate but I believe something 
else can be done.

My OS winXP with all critical updates applied and all 
office XP updates applied to.

3.Outlook Express Disconnects after every 10 minutes 

I have Exchange Server 2007 with SP1. I have increasted the attachement limit 
upto 20 MB on the Exchange Server.

I configured the outlook Express 6.0 as PoP client and tried to send mails 
having size 16 mb. It shows the progess bar of sending the mails but as the 
10 minutes completes, the outlook express gives server timed out error and 
stops sending mails.

Please help. Its urgent.

4.My computer freezes for about 10 - 15 seconds every 3-5 minutes or so 

We have this problem frequently running Windows 2000.  So 
far  have found no solution.

5.MS Office 2007 keeps refreshing every 10 seconds 

Hi. I am new to this and unable to find a solution. I primarily use outlook 
and word and both keep refreshing every 10 seconds, which means I am unable 
to do anything. How do I stop this? I did a google search, but could not find
