Experiencing some odd behavior from Outlook 2003 that no one else has reported yet. When I click on a link in an email message, 2 IE windows open up to the same web page. If prior to clicking a link I already have IE open, then this doesn't happen. This only occurs in Outlook 2003. Does anyone know whats going on and how to fix? TIA Randy

I use Outlook express with an IMAP server. Very often, expecially when I try to open a message after Outlook has been open but inactive in the background for a while, I get an error message connected to the shlwapi.dll file. Any suggestion? It is quite annoying to have to restart Outlook all the time. Thank you.

Outlook 2002, Windows XP pro, Dial-up. After doing send receive, and operations are complete, the send/receive window stays open. I think it should close, and I'm sure it did on earlier versions. Can't find any setting to make it do so. How can I make this window close when it's done? Thanks.

offline folders won't synchronize

Postby zim » Sun, 04 Apr 2004 03:59:44 GMT

When I attempt to utilize the offline folders in Outlook
2002 (Windows 2000 OS) I receive the following error when
I Send and Receive All:

Task 'Microsoft Exchange Server' reported error
(0x800410F): 'The operation failed. An object could not be
found.'

I have tried creating a new profile as well as a new ost
file. Neither has worked. If I disable offline file use I
receive no errors.

Any suggestions?

1.Calendar folder doesn't synchronize with offline folder..

Hi

I have a very annoying problem. The (olny!) calendar folder off Outlook
2003 doesn't synchronize its offline folder any more. In Eigenschaften
-> Synchronisierung I can read that the calendar contains 500 elements
but the offline folder only 150. Whatever I try the offline folder
doesn't synchronize. Synchronization works perfect with all other
folders. Nor I apply any filters either..

Any ideas?

Thx
Gerhard

2.Working offline and Synchronizing Folders

When attempting to work off line an error is
appearing, "the attempt to logon to MS Exchange Server
has failed". I am connected to an Hosted Exchange server
through a dial up internet connection.
"Make this folder available offline" box is not
appearing. May have something to do with it.

3.Error synchronizing offline folder

4.Synchronizing offline folders is sometimes very slow

My company recently moved to Exchange 5.5 (all latest
patches) and Outlook for all clients (98, 2000, 2002,
2003). We will be moving to Exchange 2003 within the next
year but are stuck with 5.5 for the time being. We have
about a dozen laptop users for whom we have set up offline
folders, which generally are working fine. However, I
have one client in particular (Outlook 2002 sp2, Windows
2000 sp4) who is having synchronization problems. It
sync's fine sometimes but other times it will start
syncing and take an hour or more(and transfer 50MB) when
it appears nothing significant has changed. This happens
both on our LAN and on his home VPN through DSL, with the
VPN connection at times taking multiple hours to sync. He
does have a big OST (about 930MB), but that doesn't seem
unreasonable compared to others here who have ones twice
as large.

5.Outlook Offline folders not synchronizing

Since upgrading to Outlook 2003, I have been unable to
synchronize my offline folders. I have followed the
instructions in help, but when I choose Work Offline, I
only see items from before the upgrade. I have applied
all updates to Office 2003. I have also run a repair, but
it still does not work. Does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks,
Donna
