  • 3. Messaging subsystem error???
On my pc (XP with SP2) I'm running Outlook '97 on one account and Outlook Express on another. Both have functioned just fine for almost 2 years. Several weeks ago, my wife opened Outlook '97 for her mail and got the following error: "Microsoft Windows(TM) Messaging Subsystem Spooler has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." She has been unable to get or send mail since. My Outlook Express has worked just fine throughout. Any thoughts on how can I get her back in business? I tried going back with XP's system restore, but the one month that I can go doesn't seem to help. Thanks in advance for your suggestions. Jim in OKLA

Sharing Outlook Emails within Workgroup PCs

Postby Kenneth Wong » Sat, 11 Dec 2004 00:35:53 GMT

Hi,

I have set up a workgroup with 3 PCs, of which two desktops run on Windows
XP Home and one laptop runs on Windows XP Professional. Microsoft Office
2003 has been installed on all the three machines.

My question is: How can I share emails among the PCs in these workgroup
without the usage of a server? Is additional software needed for this
purpose? If yes, what are the best ones with a balance between quality and
costs? Any other suggestions for this purpose?

Thanks in advance for your advices.

Not easy without Exchange server. http://www.**--****.com/
may have other options for you.

Without a server, I don't see any effective way to share mail. See

calendars.

2.Sharing BCM contacts within Workgroup, Leads and Projects

Hi There!

Is it possible to acess some contacts in my workgroup?

I would like to share some contacts in order to work together with my
commercial team. That way we could look to some share leads and projects, and
do some follow up together.

Is this possible?

If yes, only with same version? Different versions together? etc.
Thanks in advance!

5.Share/Copy .PST data PC#1 Outlook 2003 {--} PC#2 Outlook 2007 Business Contact Manager

I have 2 PC's with Office 2003 Pro.

I want to install the Office 2007 Beta on one of the PC's, at least
the MS Outlook 2007 module, and I want to install THAT with the
Business Contact Manager 2007.

Will I be able to safely copy my data, i.e. my .PST files back & forth
over the coming months between the PC running Outlook 2003 WITHOUT BCM
and the one running Outlook 2007 WITH Business Contact Manager?

I mean is there any incompatibility between the data files used by
Office 2007 and Office 2003?

I know that the Business Contact Manager stores its data in MSDE (SQL
Server), but is that separate from the Contacts, Emails, Calendar Data
in Outlook?
