Hi, I'm in the right month calendar view - the one that shows the days as boxes, like a regular printed calendar. But each box has the day's appointments listed in it (generally it only fits in the first 4), and it looks cluttered. I'd like it to show only all-day events, since I use those to indicate the main focuses of each day. Is there a way to change only the monthly view to display like this, while keeping the appointments showing in the weekly & daily views? (Outlook 2003) Thanks for any help you can give! Erin

Outlook 2003 can do pretty good stuff when it comes to integrating the various PIM functions. However, I have a problem. I have set up a calendar to plan training events for employees and sub-contractors. Each employee and sub-contractor has a Contact card, but not all of them have email (my business is the construction industry). When I try to add attendees to a training meeting, I can only add those that have email addresses. If I type in one of these names, check names does not resolve it. Is this a bug? Is it a configuration issue? Can anyone offer suggestions on how to sort this matter out? Colin Nelson <'))))>< "Love All, Forgive All, Show Mercy, Judge No-One"

But this option become available when I specify a pop sever : is that means that this checkbox is by default grayed with exchange ?

Calendar does not fully synchronize to offline folder

Postby Luigi » Sat, 17 Jul 2004 02:02:03 GMT

When I synchronize my exchange mailbox to my offline
folder (outlook.ost), then connect to Outlook 200 offline,
my meetings are not present in my calendar folder.

I have over 600 items in my calendar , however only 89
items are shown to have been synchronized to the offline
folder.

I've toyed with a few settings and performed an Office
2000 repair. No luck.

Someone please help me!

Is there a pattern or a limit to what appointments are shown, such as the
last 2 months or only one category? Check your synch settings to see if you
placed conditions on what is being synched.

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Due to
the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.

After searching google.groups.com and finding no answer, Luigi asked:

1.Calendar folder doesn't synchronize with offline folder..

Hi

I have a very annoying problem. The (olny!) calendar folder off Outlook
2003 doesn't synchronize its offline folder any more. In Eigenschaften
-> Synchronisierung I can read that the calendar contains 500 elements
but the offline folder only 150. Whatever I try the offline folder
doesn't synchronize. Synchronization works perfect with all other
folders. Nor I apply any filters either..

Any ideas?

Thx
Gerhard

2.Outlook Offline folders not synchronizing

Since upgrading to Outlook 2003, I have been unable to
synchronize my offline folders. I have followed the
instructions in help, but when I choose Work Offline, I
only see items from before the upgrade. I have applied
all updates to Office 2003. I have also run a repair, but
it still does not work. Does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks,
Donna

3.offline folders do not synchronize

doesn't work. I have applied all updates. Any suggestions?

4.OL2003 will not synchronize offline folders (with Exchange 2000)

I've upgraded from Outlook 2002 to Outlook 2003 and now find that I
cannot synchronize my offline folders. The send/receive group I
created with OL2002 that worked OK does not work with OL2003. The only
way I can fix the problem is to create a new send/receive group. If I
copy an existing send/receive group I get the same problem.

I've tried reapply the folder options in my old send/receive group but
this doesn't help. If I press ctrl+F9, the folders synch but will not
update automatically if a new message is received into the folder.

For me, creating a new send/receive group is a big deal as I want to
rollout OL2003 (without cache mode) to a couple thousand laptop users
ahead of upgrading to Exchange 2003.

I've seen plenty of other posts with this problem but no real
solution. (Once again I don't want to recreate profiles or
send/receive groups for each user).

Thanks.

5.Contacts will not fully synchronize

I have a Treo 650 (Cingular) that I sync regularly on my office pc
with Outlook 2003. Have something like 1,000 contacts.

Recently opened another office with a new pc, same setup as the 1st
office. XP, Office 2003. I decided to sync the Treo with the new PC
(I've sync'd to 2 PC's before). Installed the Palm OS and attempted
to sync. The Calendar and tasks went just fine but Contacts hangs up
after loading a dozen or so entries onto the desktop.

The log shows this:

Outlook Contacts
OLERR:04-003F (0xa3040109)
OLERR:04-0006
OLERR:0D-0016
OLERR:0D-000E
OLERR:0D-0004
OLERR:0D-0001
- Recovery Sync
Outlook Contacts synchronization failed

I've reinstalled Palm OS, made sure all the dups are cleared out.
Re-sync'd with PC #1, no problem. Same OS on both PC's.

Any ideas?
