  • 1. Known error workaround
I know that Microsoft has announced and acknowledged that Outlook has a problem with calendar turning all day events into two day events if the time zone is incorrect.....see knowledge base posting 281035. However, I have sort of a combination or deviation from this problem and was wondering if anyone knew what was causing it. My timezone is right (and matches between the OS and Outlook), have never been changed, yet I have the same problem as noted above but only during certain timeframes. Beginning in April, every ALL DAY event spans two days and appointments with times associated with them have moved to an hour later. However, in October, the issue goes away. My thought is daylight savings time yet I can't seem to find what is causing it to do this. Please help.
  • 2. Two assistants - Delegation of meetings
We have recently converted from Lotus Notes to MS Outlook. We have a group of approximately 100 staff, that is supported by two wonderful assistants. In Lotus Notes they were able to send out meeting requests, without having to schedule themselves into the meeting. We have found no similiar capability in MS Outlook. We are experimenting with the delgation feature, however we are concerned about sending all the meeting requests and responses to the assistant, since if they were out of the office --- no meetings would get processed. We are now considering setting a special 'Meeting Coordinator' email account that they could both access. They could then send out meeting requests (without cluttering up their own calendars, as well as be able to back up each other if people elected to delegate all calender management directly to this account.). Does this sound viable? What are others experiences handling similiar situations?
  • 3. Printing List of Responses to Meeting Invitations
How can you print a list of reposnes to meeting invitations - i.e. Accepted, Declined.........
  • 4. Meeting Request from Delegate Not On Owner's Calendar
I have a user who is a delegate on her supervisor's calendar. She sent out 2 meeting requests, 1 from 4-6 and the next from 6-8. Both meetings have the same name but involve different people. She is getting acceptances back from the attendees of both meetings, but the later meeting isn't appearing on her supervisor's calendar. And to top it off, the people invited to the first meeting, are also listed on the second. Has anyone seen this before? It may be user error she swears she created these correctly.
  • 5. Accepting Meeting Error - Organizer
When trying to accept a meeting it says "you cannot respond to a meeting without an organizer. You must add an organizer field to the item" . I have looked everywhere for this error and cannot find it. Any idea's or input anyone?? Thanks! -C-

share calendar within workgroup

Postby Joe » Sun, 03 Oct 2004 01:23:40 GMT

We've got 4 computers in our small law office. I was
going to try to connect them all via our DSL router to
create a workgroup so that our secretary can put/send
appointments to our calendar.

Is there a way for her to share our calendar?

Thank You

Outlook can't share its files directly. See

article by Outlook MVP Eric Legault on various ways to share Outlook data.
YOu'll also find a list of third-party sharing tools and other information
at http://www.**--****.com/

1.Sharing Outlook Emails within Workgroup PCs

Hi,

I have set up a workgroup with 3 PCs, of which two desktops run on Windows
XP Home and one laptop runs on Windows XP Professional. Microsoft Office
2003 has been installed on all the three machines.

My question is: How can I share emails among the PCs in these workgroup
without the usage of a server? Is additional software needed for this
purpose? If yes, what are the best ones with a balance between quality and
costs? Any other suggestions for this purpose?

Thanks in advance for your advices.

2.Sharing BCM contacts within Workgroup, Leads and Projects

Hi There!

Is it possible to acess some contacts in my workgroup?

I would like to share some contacts in order to work together with my
commercial team. That way we could look to some share leads and projects, and
do some follow up together.

Is this possible?

If yes, only with same version? Different versions together? etc.
Thanks in advance!
