Outlook 2000: when I want to send a message to a contact that has more than one e-mail address, how do I choose to send to the address that is not designated as the default? (This is a situation when I DO NOT want to send the message to the default e-mail address for that recipient.)

I want to transfer upto 20 user's computer settings from their old PCs (running Win2K or WinXP with OfficeXP or Office2K3) onto new laptops running WinXP SP2/Office2K3. I'm transferring one to two users at a time. No more than three, max. The most important application/feature is the user's Outlook Contacts (personal 'Outlook Address Books', rules, notes, journals, and archived folders). Should I use WinXP's Files & Settings Tranfer Wizard or USMT? If so, how do I use them? Also, will the user's aforementioned Outlook PST settings transfer fully INTACT with either transfer tool?

I'm trying to get some mass mailings going to company customers in our companywide contacts list. Requirements are as follows: - the address should only show the one sent to - each email should only have 20 addressees to avoid spam mass mailing detection - 1000 or more contacts need to be processed in one operation, not multiple sets - email needs to be generated from within native Outlook 2003 interface, no add-ins or other MS Office programs such as Word - email content is setup as stationary If anyone has a method I would appreciate your sharing it. We've tried several times to follow the help in Outlook to use contacts as mass mailing source, but either ended up with problems of too many addresses for a single email or Outlook handing over the process to Word which botches up the format of the html page to be sent. TIA

User Form in Outlook 2000 not visible in Outlook 2008

Postby TURD » Wed, 19 Nov 2008 06:24:05 GMT

I created a custom form with User Fields 2-9 in my Outlook 2000. This is so
"extra" information will display in my Palm OS on my smart phone. This
resides on my desktop PC.

I just upgraded to Outlook 2007 on a laptop and copied over my contacts.pst.
he contacts populated but he custom form is not visible but the data in User
Fields 2-9 is visible on the all fields page.

How do I see the form in 2007?

When I open the template in desgin mode I can see my extra tab but not in
the normal view.

Thanks in advance.

1.User defined fields from Outlook 2000 not visible in Outlook 2

Dai,
I have exactly the same problem - I created a user defined field called
"Christmas Cards", then upgraded to Outlook 2003 and now I can't use the
data. It appears under the 'All fields' tab as 'user defined in item' but
nowhere else!
How did you solve it?
Cheers,
Charlie

2.User defined fields from Outlook 2000 not visible in Outlook 2003

I recently upgraded from Office 2000 to Office 2003.

In 2000 I had set up a number of user defined fields. When I look under the
"All fields" tab for any particular contact in Outlook 2003 theses fields are
visible under an option called "user-defined fields in this item".
However, when I try to show these fields in any other type of customized
view, I don get the option to show fields under "user-defined fields in
this item", I can only select user-defined fields from subset called
€ser-defined fields in folderwhich shows no user-defined fields.
Is this a known upgrade problem?
How can I view my previously set up user defined fields?

3.Mac Office 2008 clipart gallery window is not visible

My wife is using Mac Office 2008 and recently encountered a problem inserting
clipart into Office applications. The problem is that when she uses the
Insert - Clipart menu, the Clipart Gallery application window opens but can't
be seen. The menu for Clipart Gallery is visible but the window isn't. If
she says to show all windows, the Clipart Gallery window is visible, but when
she clicks on it it disappears again. It doesn't appear to be hidden behind
the Office app window because we can minimize that or move it around and the
Clipart gallery window is nowhere to be found. No other apps are running
when the problem occurs.

I'm assuming something quirky happened to cause the Clipart Gallery window
to move offscreen, and I'm looking for some guidance on how to correct this
without uninstalling and reinstalling Office 2008. Note that all patches
have been applied to her system.

5.Outlook Users (Some, not all) Receive Entourage 2008 Calendar Appointment Requests as Attachments

Hello,

Odd issue that one of my clients is having: He runs Entourage 2008 and
when he sends meeting requests to Outlook users, some of them receive
it as an attachment and others receive it as a normal request
(allowing you to click to accept, etc.). There doesn't seem to be any
rhyme or reason as to why some receive the requests as attachments,
others don't. This client sent me a test and I received it as an
attachment as well. However I sent several Entourage 2008 meeting
request tests from my own installation and all were received normally
by Outlook users.

Has anyone ever seen this?

Thanks!

Kenneth
