How to synchronize offline contacts with exchange contacts
by SD » Sat, 19 Nov 2005 21:55:11 GMT
I have two contacts folders...one is my offline or .pst folder and the other
is the one hosted from the exchange server. I'm running plaxo which only
synchronizes with my offline folder...I understand it does not synchronize
with the public exchange folder. Therefore, is there a way the offline
personal folder (which does sync with plaxo) can sync and merge with the
public exchange contacts on the server??

Any particular reason you're not using a real Offline Folder (OST) file
along with your Exchange mailbox?

No reason...somehow in the setup of the account I created a pst folder...not
sure how to set up an OST folder. Would that stay local and synchronize with
the exchange/server contacts?
synchronize

Yes, it stays local & sync'd with your Exchange mailbox. Check with your
mail admin about setting one up within corporate guidelines

3.Offline/Online Folders - Synchronizing (Contacts)
For some reason, I have 2900 contacts in my Offline
folder but only 250 of them appear in the online folder.
Of course, I want them all in the online folder so my PDA
sychs properly and so I can access them when logging in
remotely.
How do I move the contacts from the offline to the online
folder? I am afraid that by synch'ing the two folders,
the online foler will overwrite the offline one, and I'll
lose all those contacts.
I am using XP, Outlook 2003.
Thanks.

5.Signed in, all contacts 'offline' but they are not really offline
So I was using the new beta, then one day, all my contacts
went offline, I thought it was kind of odd, seeing as my
wife sits right next to me and she was online, chatting
with her friends in MSN, but I was listed as offline, yet
on my machine I was listed as offline.
Anyone know a solution? I've reinstalls, installed older
versions, nothing.
