I am trying to use my contacts list to actually dial phone numbers (rather than using the phone's keypad). It works fine with straightforward numbers (after I add a phone cable to the phone socket !). However as soon as I add a 'pause' to the number string (using a comma) it causes Outlook to think I want to dial an Internet number. I want to add a pause so that I can put a calling card in the dial sequence. So my question is: Does anyone know how to add a pause to a number in Contacts or Personal Address Book so that the Dial button can be used to dial the number on a regular phone line ?

I have a custom contact sheet. I transferred it to my employees computer with a CD, now we cant get outlook to open it! Also the form does not show up as to a neat little contact sheet icon, ( on my computer where it was created) yet remains a note with a push pin stuck in it. It works though! Using Office 2003. In Outlook in a new email message when i click 'to' and the contact list appears, how can i have the names listed last name first instead of first name first? I am using a calling card to dial international number. It works fine when I used with internal modem. But when I switch the line to softphone. It complains that - "The specified number either contain characters that are not valid or is not formatted correctly" The number I have in outlook is of this format +91 (123) 456-7890 When I open the Phone and Modem options via the Dialing Properties button, I see the following at the bottom 1 8880987654 91 1234567890 This works with Modem but not with Softphone. 2.Contacts Won't Dial Phone Numbers
I'm using Outlook 2003 (full version, not Express) with Windows XP. Recently switched from dial-up to DSL. With dial-up, I could select a contact, activate a line on the telephone, then use the phone icon on the standard toolbar to dial any of the numbers appearing in the drop-down list. With DSL, this automatic dialing feature no longer works, although I am able to dial a number manually on the same phone line. Any suggestions?

Hi, Each Contact I have is linked to an Account, and some of Contact phone/fax numbers are identitical to the Account phone & fax number. Is there a way under the Phone Numbers fields, I could linked the number to the Account phone/fax number? So that when I look at the Business Contacts, the number would show up? Regards
