  • 1. ActiveSnyc problem
I have a Jornada 540 Pocket PC that I have used for several years. With ActiveSnyc 4.5 everything syncs up except my e-mail. It doesn't even show up as an option to select for snycing. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the software a few times, but doesn't seem to help. Is Acitivesnyc 4.5 not compatible with my device? Seems odd since everything else works. Is it the e-mail function of Outlook? Calendar, notes etc. all work. Am I missing something in the set up? Software? Thanks for any suggestions.
  • 2. Outlook 2002 Contacts In Address Book
Now, this is an odd one... I'm trying to be able to see my CONTACTS from the ADDRESS BOOK. I've gone through the normal steps to ADD the Outlook Address Book Service (Tools | Email Accounts...) and Right Click on CONTACTS | Outlook Address Book Tab | Show This Folder as an Email Address Book, BUT, it does not show up. To prove that it works, I did the same on a public folder which contains Contacts, and THAT WORKS (I can see that one in the Address Book). Any ideas? -- David
  • 3. My Inbox appears in my Contacts list
Hi Just yesterday I noticed that my Inbox was stuck showing two new emails in the folder list as in "Inbox(2)" when there were no new emails in the box. This morning it was still showing 2 new emails when there were more than that. Strange enough, but when I went to look up a contact this morning I saw that the "Inbox(2)" now appears as an available folder in the Contact list. Bizarre! I have right-clicked and checked to see if there is a checkbox to untick that says to display the Inbox as a Contacts folder, but it does not have one. It's really unusual and I wonder if anyone else has had a similar problem and how they worked around it. Many thanks, Adrian
  • 4. outlook 2007 - contacts without email addresses
Some of my contacts do not have email but I still want to save their address and other details. I have saved them but now I can't find them even with Search - my list of contacts only displays contacts with email addresses. -- lauren

The records in your Contacts folder and Business Contacts are totally separate entities. They also use different forms to display data. There is no synchronization between them, by design.

When creating a new contact, you should be able to use File | Move to Folder to save it to the BCM Business Contacts folder.

1.Add contact to Business Contacts in Business Contact Manager f

If the manual way of doing it that Monica describes does suit your needs,
there is a quick way to add a Business Contact from an e-mail. Especially if
you want to add many at a time, in a few clicks. The method is a little
obscure, but here is how:

1. In your inbox's list of incoming (or any other) mails, right click the
e-mail.
2. Then select "E-mail Auto-link".
3. A dialog box pops up with all of the addresses in the mail.
4. The ones that you currently do not have a Business Contact for have
"unknown" in the column.
5. Select the one(s) you want to make into Business Contacts and click OK
6. The Business Contact has been added, and will have its e-mail autolinked
as well (which can then be turned off again if you don't want it).
7. Now fill in the rest of the Business Contact information as appropriate,
as Full Name and e-mail address are already populated in the Business Contact.

Thanks for your interest in Business Contact Manager for Outlook.

2.Add contact to Business Contacts in Business Contact Manager frm e

Is there a way to configure Outlook 2007 to add new contacts to Business
Contacts in Business Contact Manager instead of Contacts when right clicking
on the email address in an email?

3.Business Contact Manager vs Outlook Contacts

Is there any way to mirror BCM with Outlook Contacts. I like the
functionality of BCM but it would be better in they were Outlook Contacts.
They would come up easily in my phone instead of having to lauch a program.
And they would be able to come up in Outlook Web Access.

I've tried copying and pasting into Outlook Contacts but if updates happen
they obviously don't update.
