  • 1. Import Outlook Address Book into GroupWise and vice versa
From earlier correspondence it appears that importing an Outlook Address Book into GroupWise is not possible without expensive translators. Can someone please confirm that this is still the case (I'd hate having to spend hours on this if there is in fact an easy way). The does not seem to be any common formats; GW seems to only support 'NAB', and Outlook has no 'NAB' export option.
  • 2. Include Signature or V Card when performing email merge
Our client sends out email merges to 1000's of emails at a time using the email merge feature (from a contacts list in a Public Folder). Is it possible to have the signature or V Card be sent when doing the merge? Thanks, V Burke

Contact Not Appearing Correctly

Postby UGF1bCBXb2Nobmljaw » Thu, 12 May 2005 02:26:03 GMT

One of my users is having a problem with a few of his contacts not appearing
correctly in his address book. He will create an email and click on the to
button to add users from his address book. In the address book the entry
email address appears at the top of the list but the name does not appear.

When he sent the vcard to me as an attachment it is listed as untitled
contact.

Anyone out there see this before?

Thanks.

Only with a corrupted Contact Record. Sounds like that's what your user has.

1.Signatures not appearing correctly

Hi, I'm having trouble with my signature in outlook. When
I send a message the signature appears fine, but when
someone replies to it, I get the message and a bunch of
extra line breaks appear in it. I've tried deleting the
signature and recreating it in the both the standard and
advanced editors(frontpage) and it does the same thing.
Any help would be appreciated.

3.Signatures Not Appearing correctly in email

Hey all,

This should be an easy one for ya pro's :D

I've created a signature for one client in MS outlook and when looking at
the signature in the signature creation window it looks fine. I also
checked the 3 files in Application data\MS\Signatures all three files
looked normal.. It's a simple black text and no line spacing.
However when a new email is generated, the text becomes a cream color and
the signature becomes double spaced.

I'm stumped!

Thanks in advance for any help :)

4.Meeting revisions not appearing correctly

I am responsible for setting up meetings for our team, we don't have Exchange
just do everything via email. Also, our team uses Blackberrys for on the
road so I need to make sure the computer calendar matches up with the
Blackberry calendar.

It has come to my attention that when I change a meeting to a different day,
the original meeting doesn't go away. It changes on my own calendar so I'm
not sure what the recipients are doing or not doing.

Also, when I cancel meetings, do the recipients need to open the email and
accept the cancellation and have it remove from the calendar for it to
completely go away?

5.Imported csv file not appearing correctly

Outlook2003
WindowsXP

I exported my address book as a .csv file from my earthlink account. I
imported into Outlook and the only information that shows up is the last
name and first name. I tried to map the fields by dragging the field on the
left to the field on the right and it didn't do anything.

Please advise.

Thank you.
