My boss has forwarded me an e-mail with a number of contacts to put in our distribution list. Since it's a forwarded e-mail, the contacts appear in the body of the text, and I can't right click to find more info. I can cut and paste the e-mail addresses individually and paste to our distribution list; however, many of the e-mail addresses are shown as display names - not e-mail addresses. Is there any way to access the e-mail address from the display name if it's located in the body of the e-mail? Thanks... Julie

  • 3. I have 2 folders both called Contacts. How do I get back to one?
I had to retore my Outlook 2003 pst files from a backup copy on a separate drive. I now have 2 folders both called Contacts. The one it saves received e-mail addresses to is not the one it uses to look up an address when I write a new mail - though I can get to it. How can I get back to one common Contacts folder?

When I put in a new contact the file as field is correct but when i go to the Address Card View the File as Field is blank???
  • 5. Export Contacts to Excel
I would like to export Full Name, Company, Mailing Address, Business Phone, Business Fax, Home Phone and Email address for each of around 4,000 contacts. I haven't been able to find a way to select Mailing Address. When I copy and paste into Excel, the Mailing Address field separates and scatters. I tried to create a CSV file in Word by merging to a catalog and adding the " before and after each field separated by a comma. I was then going to save it as a text file. It added end paragraph marks after the first and second lines of the mailing address. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Cathy

Field Mapping of e-mail sales leads

Postby RHJpdmVyU2VhdA » Sun, 23 Jul 2006 18:56:01 GMT

I am the Internet Sales Manager for a Ford dealership. I am currently using
E-Lead to track incoming sales inquiries. When a customer sends in request
for info through AutoTrader.Com, the E-lead software creates a prospect and
maps the name, addresss, phone, etc to the correct fields in the contact
form. I do not like e-lead because it lacks versatility.

Is there a way for Outlook 2007 to automatically take an incoming e-mail
from AutoTrader.com and fill out the name, address, phone, etc. fields?
Thanks

Since it is beta, probably not. Besides, you need to inquire of your
current software provider if "they" provide compatibility with Outlook or
intend to support export to Outlook 2007 when it is released.

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. All
unsolicited mail sent to my personal account will be deleted without
reading.

1.Mapping Fields for Exporting Email Folder - no internal field of d

Hi everyone. I sure hope you can help.

I have Outlook 2002 and I am trying to export an Outlook Folder to Excel.
The internal fields that are available (according to documentation and
actually performing the export) do not include any kind of date - not
received date or sent, nothing. I deleted and re-created the file but a date
is not an option. (see OL98: Internal Fields Used by Outlook Folders
Article ID : 185361
This article lists the internal fields used by the various folders in
Microsoft Outlook 98 and is provided to assist you in mapping fields for
importing and exporting).

Does anyone know if exporting a date in an email is possible? I cannot
imagine why MSoft would not provide that option. Exporting is useless unless
I have a date. Subject, body, priority, cc, bcc, information does not help
unless I know WHEN the email was sent or received. I have a "Daily" Outlook
folder that I put all projects worked on (& sort by date). I need to drag it
to Excel to organize but :(

HELP!!!!
Thanks so much!!

2.BCM Import Sales Leads from bCentral

Has anyone got any advice, information or otherwise on the File/Import/bCentral Sales Leads importing? I would like to import BCM Opportunities on the fly into BCM Accounts/Contacts and was considering perhaps writing a little VBA to do such a thing. If bCentral can do the same thing and the software is written, I may need to consider that. Any tips would be appreciated. Thank you
