  • 1. Error while opening PST
Hi ! I had created a PST through Outlook 2003, due to some reasons I had to move back to Outlook XP. Now, when I try to open the PST it throws an error which says, the mentioned PST is not compatible. I understand that Outllook XP is not able to read the PST created by Outllook 2003, but I would like to know if there is any way to solve this problem.
  • 2. Imap account issues in outlook 2003
I am finding that its impossible to move the mail between accounts in outlook with 90% of the time telling me that it cant do what I want with it offline. I dont have it offline, and when I do an F9 some of the accounts always fail, opening mail frequently fails telling me its not available, and asking if I want to download. Problem is it never downloads when I F9 or shift F9. Should I be able to have outlook simultaniously connected to a few imap accounts and do what I am wanting to do? The most frequent error in the send/recieve progress box is 0x800CCC0e - googling this shows a socket error. I have no AV program on the machine that should be messing this up, and its a 2003 server machine I am using as a desktop so its not afflicted by the maximum simultanious TCP connections "feature" of SP2 on XP, I am at a loss to explain the problem.

Updated with a little more detail
Hi

Have a problem whereby an Exchange 5.5 client PC running Oulook 2000 SP3 get
errors such as "Object Could not be found" and others whereby attachments are
sent to the user, not all attachments have this problem.

Also if the user saves the attachments he can re open the mail with the
attachments in place with no errors shown
Some of the mails are just word or excel attachments and some are forwarded
mails so there is no real consistancy with this fault.

Have re installed Office 2000 and SP3 also reset users profile and still no
luck any thoughts

Cheers kevin

1.Outlook 2000 "the operation failed an object could not be found"

I use Outlook 2000 sp3, with MS XP, all relevant updates. It's a home
standalone setup, I'm not on a network.

Every week I export my "personal folder" to a pst file as a backup.

Lately, it fails, with an error: "the operation failed an object could not
be found".

Another problem is that somehow, a duplicate "personal folder" has shown up
that I can't delete or close. I guess I don't have permission, even though
XP has me as the administrator.

How do I fix this?

Thanks

2.Office 2000 SP3 won't install: expected version not found

Trying to paste from a paragraph on a web page (IE6) into a table in Word,
Word kept crashing every time. When I used the error reporting mechanism, I
was taken to a page where I could download SPs. However, when I try to
install SP3 for Office 2000, an error appears saying that the expected
version was not found. I installed Office from an Office 2000 Standard
Upgrade CD (over an earlier version of Office) and then I installed Access97
and then upgraded it to Access2000. So what version is SP3 expecting? I
should have a bona fide Office 2000 installation, right?
Thanks
Timo
