After working fine, my 3 most recent attempts to send emails just sit in my outbox and do not send. Checked all settings, called email provider and checked all with it, ran tests in Outlook 2003-fine, disabled firewalls, anti-virus, etc. Comcast says all is configured fine and suggests I contact Microsoft. When I entered product ID into Microsoft product ID dialogue box a message said that the product number was not supported in my country (USA)!! I am running software on a one month old Dell Dimension 8400, purchased from Dell with Outlook 2003 installed by Dell as part of Office. Help please!! Thank you.

When I create a signature in Outlook 2003, I get a small gray box that precedes the signature that I haven't asked for. Am I doing something wrong?

  • 4. Message Flag...
Outlook 2003 (11.5608.5606) Windows XP Professional Service Pack 2 I have created the following rule: Condition(s) - from people or distribution list Action(s) - mark it as read, clear the message flag, delete it So, with this in mind, whenever the rule comes into play, all of the actions seem to be processed except for the "clear the message flag" action. The message is marked as read and deleted, but the little envelope down in my system tray remains. Is there any way to "force" the envelope to disappear when the rule is processed so I don't open my inbox, thinking I have new mail, only to find that the rule didn't really clear the message flag? Thanx.

Thanks Brian, I do have a button on my tool bar, but I would prefer on down on the navigation bar along with Mail, Tasks, Notes, etc. Any ideas? I have read in other posts that it can't be done. Answering your queries - yes I mean " saves to floppy disk" - yes it is an
IBM USB hosted floppy drive - the drive is recognised as A:/ - yes it appears
in Windows Explorer with the test document (title and the properties are
correct). A Word test document copied from C:/ to floppy disk appears as
volume on the disk but when attempting to copy this test document ftrom the
floppy disk back to another folder a notice appears stating "Target cannot
handle this type of document. I have succesfully copied a Utility program
("Whisper") from disk C:/ to floppy disk and back to C:/ but Word documents
seem to be copied to floppy disk but not back again. The floppy disks I am
using are Dyson HD. I am very grateful for your interest and any help you
can give me.
