    Hi a friend of mine is trying to send a small attached file to me, via outlook 2000. he can send a revice emails with no problems but he is unable to send any attachments it was working fine a few days ago, and then it just stopped. His machine is up today with all patches and fix's from Microsoft. and he has ran a virus scanner through it to make sure it is all clean, but it still will not send. Any ideas -- MR C Chambers

I have XP Office 2003, can download messages in Outlook but not download 
attachments

If you got the message, you got the attachment.  There is no way to separate 
them.  The attachment is not some file floating around until you grab it. 
The attachment is *IN* the e-mail message, so getting the message means you 
got the attachment.

So what are you actually trying to do?

3.I am not able to open outlook 

I have installed Office 2007 on my computer and it was working fine.  After a 
while I could no longer open the Outlook application either from the desktop 
icon or from the Programs listing.  Other Office applications like WORD and 
EXCEL still open and work fine.  What could be causing this problem? How can 
I fix it? Thank you.

4.Why am I not able to receive attachments? 

When someone sends an attachment Outlook Express blocks 
the attachment stating: "OE removed access to the 
following unsafe attachment."  I know the senders and so 
I don't understand why it is preventing my access.

5.i am not able to get emails with attachments 

I get regular email which do not have  any attachments but where the email 
has attachment , I do not receive the mail .
I could not find anything on Help .

6. I AM NOT ABLE TO OPEN A NEW WORD OR EXCEL DOCUMENT OR EDIT THE SA

7. With IE7 I am not able to open Word documents from within OE6

8. How to open pst file and the computer I am on is not using outlook
