Is it possible to open an Outlook .pst file in Windows Mail (Vista). Thank you.

Outlook 2002 has two email accounts. One is very old and attracts a few thousand spam/junk/virus emails per week. Why I persist with monitoring this accout is outside the scope of my question. This account has only the email headers downloaded. Read and Received requests are set to Never Send A Response. The Send/Receive Settings in the Groups Options are Receive Mail Items Only; not Send. BlackIce by IIS catches some malformed email headers and tags them as bad when blocking them. Lastly, I have given a false SMTP server address for this account. With all these preventative measures, how can an attempt to send email be made? I occasionally see an error that the outbound email server could not be found. This error will persist until I restart Outlook. What could possibly be in an email header which causes Outlook to send? Thanks for reading to this line. Draco.
  • 3. Outlook XP blocking senders
In outlook (using XP), I am having difficulty blocking senders, without having to go into the list of blocked senders, then typing/copying the senders address then clicking "add". Some time back I put a "block sender" shortcut on my toolbar. When I have a hilited sender in my Inbox, I click the shortcut and it bounces the mail from the Inbox to the Junk Mail box. The problem is, the senders keep getting through to my Inbox. I have also tried the path: actions\junk e-mail\Add to blocked senders list. In both instances, I then go to my blocked senders list and the senders don't appear. They will not appear on the list unless I manually add them at that time (type in the sender and click 'add"). Judging from the number of blocked senders on the list (only 20-30) I would say that this feature has not functioned since I got the laptop, about 20 months ago. Any suggestions? Eric
  • 4. Palm TX will not sync with Outlook 2007
Unlike Outlook 2003, Outlook 2007 will not sync with my Palm TX, so I uninstalled Office 2007. I reinstalled Office 2003. The other Office applications installed just fine but it will not install Outlook 2003. The error message states in part that, "MAPI32.DLL is corrupt or wrong version." I tried the suggestion in the HELP ARTICLE about renaming the file, but it did not work. Anybody how to reinstall Outlook 2003? Thank you.

Does Pocket PC 2003 link up in a useful way with Business
Contacts and Accounts in Business Contacts Manager?

Has anyone gotten this to work with Vista and BCM 2007

2.How to make the Contacts on a Pocket PC Phone default to Business Contacts Manager contacts

I am running MS Outlook 2007 with Business Contacts Manager. I also have
a Pocket PC phone which I sync with Outlook.

Currently, my personal contacts in Outlook are synced to the default
contacts in the phone. If I want to look at the BCM contacts in the
phone, I have to go to Start -> Business Contacts.

I would like to have the contacts from Business Contacts Manager be the
default contacts in the phone, so when I go to dial a contact, the list
of contacts are those from BCM, not my personal contacts.

Anyone know how to do this?

Thanks.
