Outlook 2003. Just curious, can you setup a POP3 email account with a PST file and an Exchange Server account and have them both coexist in same Outlook profile operating as follows: POP3 mail delivered to PST and replies come from your POP3 account email address (different from Exchange address), *and* Exchange account email delivered to the Exchange mailbox and when replying the Exchange email address is used?

I have outlook 2000. Someone just sent me an email with an attachement that when I open it looks like a contact record and functions like a contact record. Is it possible to save this attachment in my contact folder without re-keying all the data? Thanks John

All of a sudden when I get links in my email they will not open. I was orginally using express when this all started. I read on the internet to make some changes in the file type, which I did and it worked for awhile then it started back to not opening the links for some unknown reason. So I switched to outlook and it is the same. Any ideas how to get this back working outlook or express.. Thanks Mike

Hard to do when I do not have the Office 2000 disk! I have done a reinstall
of Office 2003, and that seems to have solved the problem...for now.

1.Outlook tries to install features from Office 2000 SR-1 Profession

With certain e-mail messages, and when sending e-mails from Microsoft Outlook
Web Access, the program tries to install a feature from 'Microsoft Office
2000 SR-1 Professional' disk. I have tried using the Office 2003 disk to
load the file, but it will not take it.

2.Trying to use a feature from Office 2000 Premium which is not installed

Hi,

Probably a simple explanation.

I have Office 2000 Premium and Office 2003 OUTLOOK, Word, Excel, Powerpoint
and Publisher installed.

Recently as Outlook 2003 install it attempts to use the Windows Installer
for MS Office 2000 always ending with an ("Error 1706. No Valid source could
be found for product Microsoft Office 2000 SR-1 Premium. The Windows
installer cannot continue.")

It contues to do this and the only way of stopping it is to cancel the
configure Panel before it gets to the Error 1706 panel.

Outlook 2003 does load and appears to work ok.

How do I stop the Installer.

All suggestions welcomed.

4.Microsoft Outlook 2003 tries to install '2000 SR-1 Premium'

I had Microsoft Office 2000 installed on my computer. I installed Microsoft
Office 2003 over it. Everything appears to work as designed. The problem
I'm having is when I open an email with an attached '*.wmv' file
extension(there may be other file types but, I know it happens on this file)
MS Outlook tries to install 'Microsoft Office 2000 SR-1 Premium'. Shortly
after the install is initiated it gives the following message: 'The feature
you are trying to use is on a CD-ROM or other removable disk that is not
available. Insert the 'Microsoft 2000 SR-1 Premium' disk and click OK.
I do not have this disk/CD-ROM. I have tried putting in the 'Microsoft
Office 2000' installation CD but, it cannot find the file it is looking for.
Any suggestions on how to resolve this problem??????

5.Updating Office 2000 SR-3 then adding more features

Hi!
I wonder following: I updated Office 2000 SR-3 to my
workstation and after that I added more features to Excel
2000. I tried to run SR-3 update after that, but I can
not! Does that mean all SR-3 updates will activate
afterwards when I add more features to used Office
programs?

Riitta
