  • 2. Cursor start position in new message
Who do I get my cursor to start in the address field when creating a New Message. It always starts in the message body.
  • 3. Failed Email delivery
I have got WinXP sp2, with MS Office 2003 installed. Whenever I send emails to my father (who has 2 PCs - Win98 & Win2k), the emails fail to deliver. He uses Pegasus Mail rather than Outlook to get his emails, which are through NTL and Bigfoot accounts. Neither emails reach him, but he can send emails to me. The emails fail with 'too many retries' or 'unknown address', even when I hit the Reply button. As a separate problem, all my apostrophes, smiley faces etc. end up as trademark symbols and J's respectively. I have changed my email settings to all available (HTML, Word and Rich Text and Plain Text, and nothing makes a difference). I would appreciate any help or advice with either / both of these problems. Thanks,
  • 4. How to set Outlook2003 to open Word attachments with normal view?
When I open a Word attachment with Outlook2003, it always opens with a Reading Layout (split screen). I can change the view to normal, but it will open again next time with Reading Layout. How do I change it so it will auotmatically open in normal layout?
  • 5. Outlook Connector for Domino won't start issue
Trying to use the Outlook Connector for Domino 2003 connector with Outlook 2003 (SP1) and Lotus Notes 6.5 / Domino Server 6.5. Every time I try to add the connector to my Outlook profile, I get the error message "Outlook Connector for Domino won't start. Verify that the Lotus Notes client is installed and properly configured, logg off and on to your computer or domain, and then start Outlook Connector for Domno again." Clicking OK to that message then brings a second error message "The profile is not complete because your Notes.ini file hasn't been personalized for youe e-mail account. Start your Lotus Notes client and provide your Domino server name and ID file password when prompted by the Client Configuration Wizard, and then try again." Now I have got Notes running OK and my notes datapath is P:\NotesData\ I have put the notes datapath into into the Windows variable system path. I have done all recomendations from the error messages. Have removed and re-installed both the Domino connector and Outlook 2003. I am now at a loss as to why it won't work. Any help would be gretly appreciated. Regards, John

Cannot Create Link Inside Signature

Postby V2VuZHkgVC4 » Thu, 26 Nov 2009 05:47:02 GMT

There is a thread from 2 years ago regarding my question.. it didn't work for
me, so here it is again:

I have a picture with text as my signature. I want to create a web page link
within this signature. I have tried everything - including c&p the html from
the old thread. Is this even possible with 2007 running on Windows XP OS?

Thanks

Have you upgraded to IE7? If so try this:

From: "Frank Saunders, MS-MVP OE"

Control Panel | Add or Remove Programs | Set Program Access and Defaults
Make IE7 the default browser.

2.Creating linked signature in OL2007

hi

I want to create linked signature in OL2007, with linked I mean the
signature is a picture stored on my webserver. Instead of embedding the
picture inside the email, the image is stored on the webserver.

Here is how I create the linked signature for OL2007
1) create a html file with an img tag having src pointing this file on my
webserver
2) Open the source for my signature (hold ctrl + click on signaure in Option
window), Open the signature source and open the source file in an editor.
3) replace the signature source with the html I created in point 1 on this
list

I wonder if there exists a much easier way to implement this which the user
don't have to bother with html syntax and modifying html?

any ideas?

3.Cannot create signature

Outlook 2003 on Vista Ultimate.
When I try to create a signature with a logo, when I click on Advanced Edit
I get this error:-
"Could not find an editor for H (.) files"

I have ticked, and am using, Microsoft Word as my editor.
Emails are in HTML format.

Any ideas, anyone?
