Am using Outlook Office Ultimate 2007. About a week ago, I noticed that although I receive new email (the send/receive progress is visible in the toolbar at the bottom of the screen), the new messages no longer appear in my inbox until I either close and restart Outlook or open a folder then go back to my inbox. Any idea what might be causing this or how to fix it?

I am trying to determine the total size of a mailbox and see where the majority of the e-mail is. After cleaning out the mail (went from 3 GB to 250 MB) I check the properties of the mailbox in Outlook (right click-properties - folder size). The size box appears with a total size of 250 MB but when I look at what is listed by each folder (sent, deleted, ect..) it is 100 MB smaller. In MS Excel, I can save and recall my macros / templates and custom toolbars using "Book.xlt" and "Exel10.xlb" respectively. I can then use these if I have to reload MS Office. What are the equivalent files in Outlook, for templates & toolbars. -- donwb

2.Inbox displays new mail message but nothing new appears in Inbox
Hi. I've got a some asking me for help because their Inbox shows the number 11 in bright blue next to its title which usually means the person has 11 new unread mails. Thing is though when the go into the inbox to read these message nothing new has turned up. I've checked that there not appearing in subfolders in the inbox and that it's not old mail turning up further down the list before more new e-mail that has been read. He's been able to recieve individual messages from me that i sent that did come through top his inbox and so we thought it was just an Outlook glitch but it has happened again now today after we got rid of the number yesterday by just right clicking on the inbox and selecting 'mark all as read'. He's a bit worried now though and would like a fix so would appreciate any thoughts anyone has. Thanks Ash
3.New messages do not immeadiatly appear in OL2000 inbox
My new messages do not pop into the inbox until I click onto another message already in the inbox. There is no notification that a new message has arrived and no indication of unread messages in the inbox. The only way to check for new messages is to highlight an already existing message in the inbox which makes the new messages pop into the inbox. Using Outlook 2K. I've recreated the profile and even made a profile for a different user on this machine and recreated the problem. Help!!!

My new Outlook 2007 is working fine apart from one snag. Most of the time my Outlook is showing the Inbox and when new emails arrive they don't intially appear there. I can see from the Inbox link in Favourite Folders that new emails have arrived and then I have to click on another folder before returning to the Inbox before they show up. Also, no new mail notification envelope is appearing in the task bar, and no new mail sound is occurring either. Even though my options are set to do this. can anyone help please? Thanks
