With the sync software that came with your Treo. -- Brian Tillman
1.Transferring Palm Treo 650 Additional info into Outlook
I purchased the Chopura software to copy info into Outlook before I realized I could change the sync to Outlook. Anyhow, in both cases, I was unable to transfer the additional info information. It transferred all notes. Unfortunately, I stored alot of info in my addition info boxes. Any thoughts or do I just have to manually insert all my data that is missing? -- Kathy
2.Maintain data home and work Outlook data separate but combine on Treo 650
I have a Treo 650 with a Palm OS. I would like to maintain my home Outlook calendar, contacts, tasks and notes and separately maintain my work calendar, contacts, tasks and notes on each PC but sync both of them to show on my Treo. (I sync my home info with my husband and don't want all my personal info on my work computer). I also use multiple categories for tasks on both PCs (close to the 15 category max on the Palm each). Is there a way to setup this up, maybe switching between profiles or something?
3.Outlook Treo 650 Palm HotSync OLERR lookup table
Where do I get advice on what these Outlook to Palm synchronize errors indicate? Are they indicating errors in Outlook (which works) or the PDA (which won't sync)? HotSync operation started for donna on 12/21/05 19:54:07 Outlook Calendar OLERR:03-0033 OLERR:03-000E OLERR:0D-000E OLERR:0D-0004 OLERR:0D-0001 - Recovery Sync Outlook Calendar synchronization failed OLERR:15-0002 OLERR:06-0001 These were cut directly out of the PalmSource Outlook conduit HotSync 6.0.1 file: C:\palm\treo650\donna\HotSyncLog.htm The really frustrating thing about these messages is the hotsync used to work on this new Verizon Treo650 Palm PDA cellphone and then stopped all of a sudden. No matter how many times I reboot the Windows XP PC, the PalmSource HotSync Manager 6.0.1 has been failing for more than a week with these cryptic error codes above. Is there a lookup table for these error codes? Are they indicating Outlook errors (Outlook seems to work just fine) or errors in the Palm PDA (which seems to work fine also)? It's just the synchronization between the two that is failing. Contacts synchronize just fine via the Treo 650 USB cable but the Outlook Calendar fails every time (it used to work and I don't remember changing anything to break it). When I googled, I found someone suggested deleting the entire Outlook profiles directory: C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook which didn't seem to solve the problem at all (I think I got even more error codes when I pressed the HotSync button on the Treo 650 USB cable but I don't remember because I didn't save the original set before deleting the profiles directory). The Outlook profiles directory reappeared with Outlook 2003 (which seems to work fine throughout), and it re-created the following files: donna_Outlook_profile.FAV 26 KB donna_Outlook_profile.NK2 0KB donna_Outlook_profile.srs 3KB Do you know what these Outlook conduit Palm syncronize errors mean? Donna D.
4.Sync Treo 650 with Outlook (work) and Palm Desktop (home)
I use Outlook 2000 at work and no PIM at home (Outlook Express, but that does not count..). I just bought a Treo 650 (delivery tomorrow). How do I sync with Outlook at work (my contacts, calendar, tasks, notes) and Palm Desktop at home? Is it as obvious as installing Palm Desktop at both places, with Outlook conduit at work and Palm Desktop calendar conduit at home? -- Aloke ---- to reply by e-mail remove 123 and change invalid to com
5.Synchronizing Outlook 2003 with Treo 650 & Palm
We've got a new Treo 650 (Cingular) and are using Windows XP with Office 2003 and Outlook 2003. I installed the Palm software that came with the phone and installed all the conduits so that my Calendar, Address book, Tasks and Notes all synchronize just fine. What is not there is my email and when I look at the list of items that Palm's synching, there's no email there. How do I get my Treo to recognize my Outlook email account and add it to the handheld and then synchronize? Paul Fenton XXXX@XXXXX.COM
