  • 1. Why does trial appear when I load MS programmes?
I have used the trial version of MS Office 2007 and have today loaded the software for Office Home snd Student 2007 and Microsoft Outlook 2007. When I load the programmes "(Trial)" appears in the title bar. How do I ensure that my new programmes are properly recognised and that I am now using my freshly installed (and paid for) programmes as opposed to the trial software used previously? Thanks, Iain
  • 2. New mail message default
My Outlook 2003 creates every new mail message with a numbered list. I use a signature line, so it numbers two blank lines before it numbers my name and phone number. I've looked for the default setting in both Outlook and Word, but I can't find how to turn this off. Can anyone tell me how to set it back to the way it should be? Thanks, Claire

I am using Office 2003 SP3 with Windows Vista. I am trying to import contacts using a .pst file from a computer running on Windows XP which is also running Office 2003 using a Sandisk memory stick. As soon as I try to access the .pst file in the Import process I get an error message "File access is denied. You do not have the permission to open this file". If I try to open the file whilst in contacts, I get the same message. How can I import my contacts?

Office 2007 Home & Student Edition + Outlook (2003 Student & Teach

I have Office Student & Teacher Edition 2003 and a new laptop with Office
2007 Home & Student Edition. Can I install JUST Outlook from my Office
Student & Teacher Edition 2003 on the new laptop (so I will have Office 2007
Home & Student Edition with Outlook 2003)? Would it work (functionally as
well as legally)?

Yes, that would work as I assume you'll remove it from your old laptop?

2.60-Day Trial Version of Microsoft Office Standard Edition 2003 for Students and Teach

When I purchased my HP computer, it came with 60-day trial of Microsoft
Office Standard Edition 2003 for Students and Teachers. I never got
any reminders that it would be taken off after 60 days but on February
28th it stopped working. I knew that would happen eventually. I went
to convert it and noticed that I am not eligible for the Students and
Teachers version. If I upgrade to the Microsoft Office Standard
Edition 2003 which is $239 (versus the student version of $149) and do
this online through the Microsoft site for converting, will I get a CD
from Microsoft in case my hard drive crashes at some point? Or will I
have to purchase the CD from a retailer to get the CD? Also, if I do
this online, will it be an easy install or do I have to wait for the CD
and do it that way? Has anyone done this before?
