  • 1. Connect completion date on a flag to my calendar?
Outlook 2003 version SP1 The completion date on the flag reminder only highlights that email or contact in red. What good is that? Who has time to search the contacts database or all the email file folders browsing for reminders? That is contrary to the basic concept of a reminder, does it not? Solution: I'd like to see the comletion date from any flag reminder connected to the calendar. Duh...what a concept, to have a follow-up date reminder on the calender?@#$%% Maybe there is a way to do this, but I can't find it in the Help tips or anywhere else. Frustrated, Bongaboy

"Yahoo" is not a mail client. You can't "switch from Yahoo to Outlook".
Outlook needs a mail service to which to connect in order to download
messages from that service's mailbox. Ask your mail provider what you need
to do to configure Outlook correctly.

1.Test Account Settings, returns, send test email message, FAILED

Multiple machines are setup and working
We can send and receive email
However if you press the Test Account Settings button
It will return that the send test email message, FAILED
9 out of 10 tries
We also receive the test email message each time
Even though it states it FAILED
The following message will appear

Send test e-mail message: The specified server was found, but there was no
response from the server. Please verify that the port and SSL information is
correct. To access these settings close this dialog, then click More
Settings and click on the Advanced tab.

We have checked with the web hosting service,
and they state all of our settings are correct

2.Can't send email - 'Test Account Settings" fail on email address

Using Outlook 2002. Had Outlook 2003 installed and removed. Since then, I
have not been able to send or receive email. Did all the basics including
creating a new pst file.

When I run the "Test Account" feature, everything tests out fine except for
the email address. I get the error message "...unable to send test
Message. Please verify the E-mail address field."

I have done so and retyped the email address several times with no success.
By contrast, I entered the same information into Outlook Express and it
retrieves the mail immediately.

Would appreciate some help...

Thanks

3.Outlook email send test fails

I am trying to tie my Outlook to my sbc.yahoo email account. It seems to
receive all my email messages just fine but it fails sending messages. The
message states I need to look at the email address I am using. I have enter
my sbc.yahoo email address in that field. Is this correct or should I be
entering a "new outlook" email address? If yes, how do I know what that is?

4.Send test email message Failed

I can receive emails, but cannot send. the other 4 'test account setting'
parameters completed (Establish Network Connection, Find outgoing mail server
(SMTP), Find incoming mail server (POP3), log onto incoming mail server
(POP3)).
But 'send test email message' fails.

I have tried every setting in more settings (enabling, disabling, combining)
but no solution.

I am wondering if my Norton Internet security is blocking it but I have
tried diabling it as much as I can and still can't send an email
