Feature to "Lock the View" similar to "Lock the Taskbar"

I suggest "Lock the View" feature similar to the "Lock the Taskbar" feature.
Allows you to modify it anytime, but locks it so you only change it when that
is your intention.
I found Outlook 2003 particularly frustrating with regards getting a Task
View to stay the same the next time I revisit it. And once I get it the
way I want it, and accidental click on a column header starts the whole
process over.
I do appreciate the "automatic grouping" (especially the date grouping), but
it has made the views a little more tempermental and frustrating at times.

someone changed a setting on my computer and now the bottom taskbar will not

3.Taskbar "Group similar taskbar buttons"
I first thought that this was happening only to me and that it was related to
my profile somehow being "damaged". Now, since I've deployed Office 2003 to
others, they are reporting the same problem. The problem is this;
If you have the option selected to "Group similar taskbar buttons" and an
app (let's say IE) has several groupings, sometimes (can't reproduce the
problem) I can no longer access this grouping. I click on the IE grouping in
the taskbar and nothing happens. I can maximize the other apps that have
only one "instance", but every app that has a grouping doesn't expand. I can
Alt+Tab to get to these apps, but can't do it in the taskbar anymore. I have
to logoff and back on to get back to "normal". Also, when I log back on, the
QuickLaunch bar is deactivated and I have to go and re-activate it. Any
ideas? Running Windows XP w/SP2 and Office 2003 w/SP2.

5.Folder locking vrs file locking ?
Is there an easy way to lock a folder so the files are accessible (read only)
to others but I can still edit and delete as needed. I need to keep some
files on the shared drive (accessable to many persons) I have been locking
these word and excel files individually. But with dozens of files it is
getting inconvient to continue this practice. And yes I need to keek these
specific files on the shared drive. I was thinking is there easy a way to
lock these using the security tab feature on the folders properties box to
make these read only to everyone but me.
Thank you in advance RVF
