  • 2. error message when receiving in outlook 2003
When I set up outlook 2003 with my earthlink account, the connections all tested fine. But when I click send and receive, it prompts for my password and then I get the following error message and no messages are received: Task 'pop.earthlink.net - Receiving' reported error (0x800CCC92) : 'Your e-mail server rejected your login. Verify your user name and password in your account properties. Under Tools, click E-mail accounts. The server responded: -ERR syntax error' Sent messages go out fine. Any ideas what is causing the error message?
  • 3. outlook 2003 messages stuck in outbox
sometime when i send a message it gets "stuck" in the outbox. the icon next to the message is slightly different than the ones that send properly; it looks like a little open envelope with letter next to it, vs a little closed envelope with dots on the left side for the ones that send properly. any ideas? if i hit resend it does nothing, forwarding does nothing etc. mark

I can add a signature, apply it, hit OK, but it doens't attach itself to a new message, and isn't there when I want to edit it. The name is still there, but nothing else. I'm updated on all downloads too. Running 2003XP

Outlook(2003) to Hotmail connection time outs

Postby Qy5BLg » Sat, 23 Apr 2005 14:01:01 GMT

For a week or so now the Outlook 2003 to Hotmail syncroniztion times out
almost consistently.
Attemps to 'Connect to Hotmail' sometimes succeed (enablind the message
header sync) and some others it doesn't.

Searched for any Outlook fixes/updates to no avail.
Any suggestions?

Do you have a paid Hotmail subscription? Recent changes in the Hotmail
service only allows you to connect to Hotmail from within Outlook or Outlook
Express when you have a paid Hotmail/MSN service.

1.POP3 ansSMTP server time outs using Office 2003 Outlook

Hi,
My ISP reckons this is a known Outlook bug that should be fixed by office
Service Pack 3, but after a week of frustration, and doing what I am told, I
still get the following errors, 0x800CCC15, 0x8004210A, 0x8004210B. The Big
Pond webmail seems to work fine and all the e-mail account settings were
checked with the their technical support. I applies the registry change
recommended in the particular hotfix, but that made no difference. It was
working fine until a week ago, although it would send multiple copies of
300kb e-mails to addressees. The sending seemed to fail before the receiving.

2.time outs occurred when checking email through outlook 2003

I am using the trial version of office 2003 before I make a purchase and I
continually have to keep having my email rebooted through "send and receive"
because I keep having a time out occure and it happens not only every time I
check my email through outlook 2003 but more than once.

What can I do for this before I decide to purchase it?

3.Outlook 2003 send and receive time outs.

I have been experiencing an incredible amount of errors. They are realted to
time out of the communications between the servers. i have increased the
time out duration and the problem still exists. I can close Outlook and
restart it and the problem goes away for about one-half hour and the returns.

4.Increasing Intermittent Time-Outs Awaiting POP Svr

Outlook 2002 SP-2/Win Me /NOD32 AV All Up-to-Date Wife's
& my addresses at Bellsouth.net are opened in same Outlook
window and generally work. Either acct shows
increasing "Timed-Out" (set @ 2 minutes/have DSL)"waiting
for POP Response". Sometimes I open the Bellsouth Inbox
of "stuck address" & something is there; Today it was
empty but error Msg occurred. Seeing it stuck on 50%
complete ( wife's address processed-mine stuck)I recently
logged into Bellsouth Inbox & Deleted (4) Spam msg's. A
desired Email then moved into Outlook. Any idea what's
happening to cause increasing intermittent Time-Outs?
Bellsouth Help Desk uncertain of cause; Don't get warnings
from AV's Internet Monitor (IMON) but thought I'd start
here. Many Thanks!

5.time outs

I haven't changed anything but now it is hit and miss if outlook xp is able
to receive email.

If I reboot it works for awhile but then it goes back to crap.

I don't know if some spyware or some other thief has infected my system but
I'm constantly scanning for viruses and adaware and also spybot.

What can I do now? I called RRunner and of course if you can access your
email from their email web page they say "our servers are working, it must
be your computer!"

Moroons!

Any clues would be appreciated.

BTW I can surf the web and of course access this news reader. But email is
intermittent
