Hi Seb, I have solved my problem and perhaos this will help you with yours! My error message which was something to the effect of "Operation timed out waiting for response from SMTP server". My solution was to turn off scanning of outgoing (note - only outgoing) mail by my antivirus system and that has solved the problem completely. I am using Trend PC-cillin Internet Security 14. Hope this helps. Karl, as to your problem - sorry I can't even begin to help, I am a complete novice myself! I would suggest however that you do a "new" post as your problem may be missed because it is not the same as Seb's and mine. Hello, I have been searching the internet for some form of documentation that lists the bandwidth requirements for a MAPI client connection to work to an Exchange server. Reason being is that i have a client who has a 128 Kbps connection to the head office, and are having Outlook/Exchange timeout problems.
