All of our client PCs are running into an issue where there is a long lag time after hitting either REPLY or FWD. It doesn't seem like there is any particular type of email that causes this to happen. It is very intermittent, but I would say it happens about 50% of the time. Once you hit REPLY, the system will sit there any where from 5-60 seconds before a response window appears. Has anyone run into performance like this before?

I have Outlook 2003. There is a really long delay when I try to pick a file to attach to an email, or save an attachment to a specific file. Any ideas as to what I sould do?

Everytime I close Outlook it shuts down with an error. It has been reinstalled several times and the same error pops up after it is closed. It opens fine each time after it is closed, but though it was strange that it closes with an error at shutdown. I also have Word, Excel, Viso...2007 loaded if that makes a difference... -- Rob Jones Project Consultant REJ Company

How to export e-mail to mdb with time/date sent & received fields

Postby amt5dGU » Fri, 29 Feb 2008 08:59:01 GMT

I am tryting to export the content of Outlook mail folders to a Microsoft
Access .mdb file. I need each record to contain fields for the time/date
sent and the time/date received. Is there a way to accomplish this goal?

1.How can I include email received date/time when exporting mail fol

When exporting a folder containing emails, the fields exported appear to be
fixed with no user ability to amend. The emails are exported to a database
for the purpose of task management and including the original date/time
received is desirable.

2.Cannot import send/receive dates for emails stored in Access (.mdb) file

I have some mdb (Access format) database files with thousands of emails
extracted from couple of Yahoo groups forums. I'd like to import these
into my Outlook 2003 PST so that I can search and read them offline.

The mdb files contain all the fields necessary for a proper email
import, including

from_name
from_email
subject
receive_date
receive_time
message (HTML format)

When I use the Outlook "Import and Export Wizard", selecting Access
file type, etc., all appears fine. However, after the import
completes, in Outlook there is no date information populated under
either sent or received date.

If I use the "map custom fields" button on the import wizard, all of
the import file fields are shown correctly on the left hand "from" side
(as listed above) but on the right hand "to" side I only see the
following Outlook fields to map to:

subject
body
from/to/cc/bcc (name)
from/to/cc/bcc (address)
from/to/cc/bcc (type)
billing information
categories
importance
mileage
sensitivity

For whatever reason, THERE IS NO DATE FIELD to map to.

I can map date to something like "billing information" but that doesn't
help much

I appreciate any help or advice you can provide!

Thanks,

John
