I am having the same problem. I will describe it, with possible clues below: [Problem Descripiton] With all of my outgoing HTML (not plain text) formatted emails, an attachment called image001.gif is attached w/o my knowledge or desire. [Background Info] I use MS Word as my email editor. The image that is attached is an image of a non-default bullet from "bullets and numbering" that I selected in an email some long time ago. I reset my "bullets and numbering" to default values, but this did not resolve my problem. I will bet that somehow "bullets and numbering" using MS Word as my HTML email editor is the related to the problem, but I am not sure. I am equally frustrated as Hamlit. [Call to Action Please] Please provide any ideas you have on how to stop a gif file containing a MS Word bullet from being attached as image001.gif to ALL outgoing HTML emails that I send regardless of the contents of the HTML email. Thanks so much in advance for any advice you have. - One_Time_OLK2003_Bullets_And_Num_User in Wash. DC [snip snip]

1.I am unwittingly sending an attachment gif each time I send a mess
I am unwittingly sending an attachment gif each time I send a message. Finally my sister asked what is the stupid 001.gif supposed to mean. I looked at my sent messages and it is in each message located as an attachment to open, under the subject line. I have double checked all my e-mail settings options, defaults, etc. When I send an e-mail I cannot see the attachment. I even turned off my signature. I am annoying all of my contacts. I don't have that many to spare. Can anyone help me?

4.Can't send .jpg or .gif attachment
I'm running Windows XP. I can send and receive text only e-mails. I'm using Outlook Express 6 and Pegasus 4. With either e-mail program I cannot send an e-mail with a jpg or a gif attachment. The same picture file in bmp format will go OK. File size is not the issue as a large bmp file will go but small jpg or gif files will not. I'm using Earthlink as an ISP, and using their Web E-mail on their web site the jpg and gif attachments go OK. Help!!!
