I am trying to import my mail files from my laptop (Outlook Express 6.0) to my new desktop (Outlook). I followed the directions and created my .dbx files. The only change I made while exporting the files was to change the destination folder. I copied the .dbx files to the desktop and tried to import. When I tried the import function in outlook (after pointing to the files in a random directory), I get an error message stating "The mail folder cannot be opened. If another application is using this file, please close it and try again." Any ideas?

Now when I attempt to open the files I get the following message, "Can't create file: faxmsg.tif. Right click the folder you want to create the file in, and then click Properties on the short-cut menu to check your permissions for the folder." I recently performed an update and that was when I started having problems. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Version:	4.0.9315.32

Installation won't work showing an error message: this version is

any ideas how to help?

The BETA of BCM 2010 only works with the BETA of Outlook 2010.
It does not work with previous versions of Outlook nor does it work with the
RTM release of Outlook 2010.

2.BCM won't open after installing Office 2010 Beta

After a successful install of 2010 Beta, I get the following error when BCM
Contacts or Accounts icons are clicked:
"The set of folders cannot be opened. Store Not configured."
I've checked Data Mangement in Control Panel | Mail and BCM is there. Any
suggestions?

3.Upgrade OL 2007 BCM to OL 2010 BCM Beta

I am in a real bind. I loaded Office Pro Plus 2010 (Beta) which installed
fine and running well. My problem is trying to load in BCM. I have
attempted at 8 times and nothing...I have sent frowns to support and to the
blog but I have not received a response.

The reason I am in a bind - as a condition of upgrade the OL BCM 2010
installation deletes 2007 BCM. I can't get 2010 installed and I don't know
that I can reinstall 2007 BCM which I don't really want to, because I am
anxious to work with 2010 because of all the new features. In fact I was
briefy with another CRM software, however, when I saw all the new features of
2010 I thought I would go back.

This has not been a pleasant experience because it appears the BCM Team is
responding to others but not my requests for assistance.

If you can suggest how I can get this issue resolved I would be greatly
appreciative. I do not have access to my data and it is hurting my
productivity.

Thanks for listening and I hope to God I can get someone to help!

Tim

4.Can't install Office 2010 beta x64 after uninstalling 2010 'RTM'

I had version 14.0.4734.1000 installed (employer is partner), but it expired.
I uninstalled without any problem via the control panel, and even followed
the office 2007 manual uninstall instructions afterwards (deleting the
remaining registry keys, after checking that there were no msi packages left
to unistall, which there weren't).

The install of the beta goes without any problem, but initially every Office
application would crash upon running. The problem module being 'mso.dll'
which was left over from the RTM install and not deleted by the uninstaller.
I deleted this dll and had the beta do a repair. Now the applications start,
but the menu tabs are corrupted as well as all of the various ribbons and
menu text. For instance, there are no 'File' menus, just a tab that says
"Opening" which does nothing when clicking on it.

I uninstalled the beta and reinstalled the expired RTM. The RTM works
perfectly, but is expired.

It would seem that the RTM install makes file modifications that are not
reverted during uninstall, and these changes are not overwritten by the beta
during its installation, thus creating a kludge of beta and RTM file versions.

So, how can I cleanly remove the RTM as if it were never on my machine
(including file versions/time stamps), and install the beta and have it
function?

Thank you.

5.Installing Office 2010 Beta Language Pack on 32 bit Office 2010 RT

I have installed Office 2010 RTM on a clean copy of Windows 7 Ultimate. No
other version of Office beta or otherwise has been installed since complete
disk wipe.

When I attempt to install Microsoft 2010 Beta Language Pack, I receive the
following message:

"Microsoft office 2010 does not support upgrading from a prerelease version
of Microsoft Office 2010. Please remove any pre-release products and try
again."

I have no Office products installed except Office 2010 RTM. I am trying to
install the 32 bit language pack to a 32 bit Office 2010.

How do I proceed to install additional language proofing tools - please
advise.
