  • 1. Cannot install Outlook 2003 Translator
I tried exporting contacts to a CSV file and was prompted to install the Office Outlook Translator. In the middle of the installation, I get an error message: "Error 1311. Source file not found: C:\MSOCache\All Users\90000409- 6000-11D3-8CFE-0150048383C9\L4561412.CAB Verify that the file exists and that you can access it." Well, the file does not exist, even when I run a complete reinstall of Office. Any suggestions on how to get a copy of this missing file?

  • 3. mspst32.dll
"Unable to complete the operation. A Fatal Error ocurred in Oulook" Now when I look a the error report it mentions the file mspst32.dll I've searched my HD and cannot find this file. Meanwhile Outlook only opens up and then crashes right away. I can't 'repair' it - that fails/doesn't work. I can't unistall it - doesn't work. Can't install it again - doesn't work. Can't install the latest service pack - doesn't work! What can I do that WILL work? Any suggestions? Btw, I'm running Win Xp Pro and Office Xp. I recently started using Mozilla as my default internet browser . . . don't know if this is related in any way. s3

I belong to a website called Linked In and when I used their address import feature it created a subfolder in my Contacts folder called "collected contacts. I need to know how to get rid of this becuae it is interfering with my ability to synchronize my contact list in my PDA. Can somone help? thanks
  • 5. Account confusion
I'm really in the dark on some of the things Outlook 2003 does and has done to my mail. One thing that is driving me crazy is that, when I click on the inbox for my MSN account, it defaults to displaying grouped by date rather than account. The other is, even when I choose View > Arrange by > Email account, it separates the MSN account into two groups. The first group says E-mail account: MSN (224 items, 135 unread), the other says E-mail account: MSN (32 items, 4 unread) with no indication of why they are in two groups. When I view a message in the first group and close it, it moves into the second group, which suggests that the groups are by read or not, but the second group also has unread messages. At any rate, how do I get the one account into one group that contains both read and unread messages?

Upgrade to OL 2002 from Office-XP cant' open .PST FILE

Postby Tom J (Darth) » Thu, 14 Aug 2003 13:37:29 GMT

I have just upgraded my Office 2000 to Office XP which contains Outlook
2002. It gives me the following message:

UNABLE TO OPEN YOUR DEFAULT E-MAIL FOLDER. THE .DLL FILE FOR THE INFORMATION
SERVICE COULD NOT BE FOUND. MAPI WAS UNABLE TO LOAD THE INFORMATION SERVICE
"PSTPRX.DLL". BE SURE THE SERVICE IS CORRECTLY INSTALLED & CONFIGURED.!!?

I am at a loss as to why this DLL was not installed properly from the CD,
and what caused the service to be bypassed and/or installed correctly? Do I
need to update this product as well from Microsoft? Thanks in advance Tom
J.

Thanks Oliver, but this page is in German, which I don't understand. Maybe
there is an English version somewhere?

Thanks again, Oliver. After my first cup of coffee, I noticed the knowledge
based ID contains in your suggested URL address, so I just used that and
went to the MS Ol 2002 support help page. It returned it to me in English
format. This article states that I should 'DL' the latest Office XP Service
Pack. I'll try this when I get home this evening. Thanks again for all of
your help....Tom J.

4.Moving .pst files from OL 2002 on one computer to OL 2003 on a new computer

I'm sure this question has been asked many times but I would appreciate your
help. I am quite a beginner so I need step by step instructions.

My .pst files are on a 98SE computer with OL 2002 installed. My new
computer is an XP Pro with Office 2003 Pro installed. I have a cd drive on
the 98 computer and a CD / DVD drive on the XP computer. I want to move
all the outlook data files to the new computer. Please provide me with the
steps that I should use to move the data. I do not have access to an
exchange server. Thanks for your help in this matter
