I used to work off a Compaq laptop that has no burner or floppy drive (no way to get info off computer other than email). I just got a desktop computer. Is there any way to export my archived emails and attach them in an email so that I can download them onto the desktop? I've exported them to a .pst file, but Outlook won't let me attach it to an email. Same thing with my contacts export - won't let me attach. I get the message "operation failed". I'm using Outlook Office XP; windows me on the desktop, and 98 on the laptop. Any ideas? Thanks much! Darcie

I have been in the registry bit & tried to select the REPLACE PERMISSION ENTRIES ON ALL CHILD OBJECTS WITH ENTRIES SHOWN HERE THAT APPLY TO CHILD OBJECTS but the system will not let me check this box. Can you help because I am struggling to connect to email because of this password problem. Cheers Sheron

sharing BCM db and SBS 2003

Postby TUVTQ1dC » Tue, 02 May 2006 12:45:01 GMT

I use administrator to set BCM db up, at SBS 2003, and ok. When I try to
share it, I receive "There are no more endpoints available from the endpoint
mapper" when I click Next. If I click Next again, it goes to next dialog to
choose users. I choose a user. Fine. When I click Finish I get "Error aplying
changes" and it goes back to users dialog.
I can not start windows firewall in SBS, once RRAS is running (for NAT).

Another question is, can I access same DB from other domain client computer
(same user)?

TIA

Probably best to repost to microsoft.public.outlook.bcm.

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. All
unsolicited mail sent to my personal account will be deleted without
reading.

After furious head scratching, MESCWB asked:

1.Connecting to BCM 2010 Shared DB on SBS 08 Server

Hi,
I am trying to upgrade the BCM from 2007 and have he following issue.
The tool works fine creates the DB, restores the 2007 data an upgrades the
schema.
The uisers have been given access.

However the SQL Express 2008 shows a region on US English and the clients
are UK(British) English. So the connect database is gryed out as the error
message indicates cannot connect to data with a different region.

I have tried changing the database language to British but the clients still
cannot connect to the server to use BCM 2010 data.

How can this be resolved as this did not happen with 2007. I am using teh
full release versions.

4.XP Profesional BCM 2007 needs to share DB hosted on a Vista Ultima

Someone has gone through the hassle to connect a shared DB on a Vista
Ultimate with a BCM 2007 installed on a XP Professional. Until now, I have
tried every option I know of. Right now it is set this way.
Both are configured on the same Workgroup
Both firewalls are turned off
Vista BCM can access the remote database although it is hosted on the same
computer.
XP can use shared folders on the Vista system
XP has IP4 and Vista has IP4 and IP6 configured
Any ideas on what else I should try so XP Based Contact Manager can access
Vista based Contact Manager DB
Thanks
