BACKGROUND We have been using MS ProjServer 2003 for little over a month. We currently have 30 plans and about 250 resources (Enterprise Rsrc Pool) in our Production environment. On an avg. we have 5 to 7 PMs accessing the Project Pro at any given time. We have one Master Plan that consists of 17 sub-projects. The total number of tasks - 6300. 3650 of the tasks have some sort of depdencies. About 250 of those dependencies are "inter-project" in nature - depedency between two project tasks. PROBLEM Poor performance when working in the Master Plan. It takes 5 to 10min. to open the plan. 30min. to save the plan. Anytime we add a new task or delete an existing task the response time is 5 to 8 seconds. Same when changing or adding dependencies. We tried puting the same environment in a more beefed up hardware architecture and stil the same issue. ANY SUGGESTIONS? IS OUR APPROACH TO THE MASTER PROJECT IS WRONG? It turns out that this has nothing to do with the server. The renaming tool is a stand-alone utility. It seems to allow "anyone" to rename projects - you do not even have to be a valid windows user - you just have to check the "trusted connection" box. This is very scary. The tool renames the project and keeps documents, etc, but they forgot to rename the project workspace. Although the content of the project workspace stays with the renamed project the poject name on the page is the old name. Please let me know if anyone finds anything different from what I found. 4.Not able to type more than one character in fileds after customisaiton
I hvae experienced a strange error. This is the routine: customize the form, publish the deployment, restart the IIS (and the other services - note that the e-mail router is not installed yet), start and stop the web site. When I open the forms, I'm not able to enter more than one -1- character in each field. Drop down menues are working. Any idea?

Could you give some more details of your customisations? Are these new string fields that you have added in the Schema manager, or are they existing CRM fields? If so, which fields are they? Obvious thing to check if you added them in the Schema Manager is that the string length is greater than 1 :o) By the way, you don't need to stop and start the website after an iisreset.
