Setting up a Stationery Email
by The-Wisest-One » Tue, 04 Apr 2006 23:27:58 GMT
Hello,
I'm trying to set up a stationery email that will tell people that I'm
away from my office.
The one I am using now seems to work, but it places my message way
down at the bottom of the page below the original incoming message.
What I would like to see happen is that my message is at the very top
of the reply, and the incoming text is not there at all.
Like this message looks.
Is it possible to do it that way? I'm using the Paid version of Eudora
7.0 also
Thank you
P.S.
This seems to be the best version that Eudora has come up with in a
long time. It is fast, flexible, and stable.

It's not possible in Eudora to put the reply above the quoted message,
nor is it possible to avoid quoting the message. You may want to send
in a suggestion.
As a work-around you can change your Reply Attribution during the time
you will be away. Then your message will be at the top.
<X-Eudora-Option:ReplyAttribution>
Copy the link and paste it in the body of a new message in Eudora.
Alt-click the link and a "Change Option" window will appear. Write your
message in the "New Value" field. Click OK.

Are there any email programs that will place my stationery message
above the quoted text? Or delete the quoted text altogether?

Have you checked with your email service provider to see if they offer a
"vacation" option that does this at the server level? Doing it at the
server level also has the advantage of not requiring you to leave Eudora
running while you are away.

2.Setting Primary and Secondary PC set-ups for e-mail
I have a primary PC and a laptop both now operating with
Outlook Express 6.0. I would like to keep e-mails on the
server if I read them on the laptop and then remove them
from the server if I use the primary PC (i.e., keep the
primary PC as the complete repository for all e-mails).
Older versions of Oulook Express had an option for not
removing e-mails from server but this seems to be missing
from the Outlook Exporess 6.0. How do I do this now?

4.Email defualt stationery
A friend of mine has tried to explain a glitch they have somehow created in
OE. It seems that now every time they open a New Email they have a picture
of some sort there in the email which they say they can't seem to get rid
of. Any ideas out there of how they have done this and what is the fix.
Many Thanks
