I dont believe my eyes: after upgrading to 7.1 from my paid 7.0 license a welcome screen pops up showing my registration code and informing me that I am now on sponsored mode. This cannot really be meant serious? If someone could clarify I'd be happy. - Thomas - 2. Change dominant personality

I've been using Eudora for years, I check about 10 accounts. I am running a Dell 2.7Ghz machine with many free GB HD and 1GB RAM. I have about 10-12 filters and many mailbox folders. All was running fine and fast. Recently with no change that I know of, Eudora got very slow in checking mail, redrawing screen etc... I run Norton Antivirus (always have) and Spysweeper (always have) and there was no problem. Running Eudora 7.1.0.9 in Paid Mode on XP Pro. Have Virtual Memory set to 2GB (2x physical as MS suggests) I have defragged the HD and deleted several very full mail folders, no change. Any suggestions on things to check. B - 4. A while back someone posted a way to set the reply cursor position in the Eudora INI file. I would like to have the cursor start at the current default location with about 3 blank lines beneath. I have it currently set with 1 line, but I can't remember where in the INI file it is to change this. Thanks Marc

They are backups of our In and Out mailboxes, made when you compact your data. By default there are 2, but you can change that with a setting in eudora.ini. -- Ajo Wissink

This is occuring on ALL 6 Win2k systems (with srvpk3) that we have: I've seen the articles that claim the profile problem is relative to Terminal Services issues (817171, 285923, 185198, 271213, 246936, & 124594...). However, our SysAdm cliams that he is not using terminal services, but Altiris RapiDeploy to remote to these machines. Does anyone know if the Altiris RapiDeploy program has "wrappers" around terminal services or some other issues? What else could be causing the occurences of the extra profile creation?
