I'm unable to receive mail. It shows "logging into POP server" for several menutes then fuinally will display the error message saying something about the exchange key lenth being wrong. Other times it'll say "SSL negotiation failed." Any ideas on how to correct it?

I am running 6.0.1 on an XP Professional machine. There is a message in my in-box that locks up Eudora if I select it. I cannot view it or delete it. When I click on the message, Eudora instantly quits responding and says "not responding" in the title bar and also in Window's task manager. I must close Eudora in Window's task manager and restart Eudora. How can I get this message out of my in-box? - 2. from Eudora for Mac to MS Outlook for windows
Any experts who could help me? I used Eudora 6.0 on my Mac and have been forced to use a PC running Microsoft Outlook for Windows XP at grad school. I was able to move my mail halfway, by installing Eudora 6.0 for WindowsXP and transferring my mailboxes by memory key, then adding a ".mbx" suffix. But 2 problems: 1 - Outlook won't import from Eudora 6.0. It demands Eudora 4.x or lower. WHERE CAN I FIND EUDORA 4.X OR LOWER? 2 - I can't figure out how to get my email address book into either the Eudora for Windows on my PC or even better into Outlook. All help deeply appreciated. Lately Eudora has taken to using hundreds of megabytes of memory over the course of a few hours to a few days and ultimately crashing when I try to check mail. System mailboxes are small (the bulk of it is on IMAP anyway), nothing unusual in the way of options that I can see. (6.0.1.1 Paid, WinXP SP1) Any ideas? -- Peter - 4. Left hand column symbols

Have you always had this problem with that account or was it working and just stopped working? If the latter, what, if anything, did you change? Unless the server requires SSL, setting Eudora to never try to use it should fix the problem. (Note that SSL is set separately for incoming and outgoing mail, and for each account, so make sure you change the right setting.) -- Katrina
