  • 1. Browser of choice
Hi: I'm using Eudora 6.2.3.4 (sponsored mode). Mozilla Firefox is my browser of choise - unfortunately I have MS-IE in my computer. Firefox is also my "default browser". When I receive an email which has a clickable URL in it, it always uses MS-IE to open the site. In my eudora.ini file, there's a line "URLHelper=D:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" What can I do to have Eudora use Firefox as a browser? Thanks! John <><

Be sure that you don't have set Eudora to send "plain text only" in
Tools > Options > Styled Text.

I've configured Eudora to ask me each time.
Even if I choose HTML, the format is totaly lost.

Thank you anyway.

It may look as if the format is lost, because when forwarding Eudora
uses its internal viewer which isn't capable of showing the animation,
but in the received message the entire html should be present. What
happens when you send such a message to yourself?

Here is a screenshot that show how I watch the email under Eudara
(v7.0.1.9 my apologize I forgot to indicate that in my first message):

 http://www.**--****.com/

(Both graphics in the mails are animated)

And here is how the message is formatted when I click on Message >
Forward

 http://www.**--****.com/

And doing this, bring another problem: it's very rarely whne I send HTML
email but to forward to myself the original email but when I send it
using "Styled" but the message status become from queued (little blue
Q) to red dot with a white cross without any error and stay in the OUT
folder....

thank again for your time.

There is a plug-in called "forward as attachment" that I use.
Sometimes it renders the final mail the way I receive it, sometimes
close, sometimes not at all.

Unfortunately, the last authorized version of Eudora was still
very primitive in this area. I have resorted to leaving the mail on
the server and forwarding it from there from time to time, or using
Mozilla Thunderbird.

I just searched for that plug-in and you can find it here:

 http://www.**--****.com/

	Good luck, DGI

Thank you very much David.

I've just tried it and send this email to another account of mine as
HTML file and Eudora displayed it exactly as the orignal format !

Novice luck ? I don't know but it's made the trick !

Thank you. I will check these other plungins, somes are also very
interesting.

I think Eudora throws that away; it only saves the text version.

By the way that should have been:

" ... lose the html formatting ... "

4.How to forward messages and pictures without the senders info

5.Forwarded message is differs with and without editing option

This is a new one on me.

I am running PM version 4.41 on a XP Pro SP3 system.

I received an email that I wanted to forward. When the recipient got
the forwarded message, there was just the forwarded headers from the
original message and nothing else.

Investigation showed the following:

The original message that I received has both a HTML text and a Plain
Text listed under Alternative Message Formats.

The HTML Text contents have just header info which appears to be what
was forwarded using the option to edit.

The Plain Text contents had the header info plus the entire message
itself.

So it appeared that when I forwarded the message with option to edit
before sending, the HTML Text message format was forwarded.

Then I tried a forward without editing (bounce) and this forwarded
message contained both the HTML Text and the Plain Text exactly like
the original message that I received.

QUESTION:

Why is the forwarded message different depending upon whether or not I
choose the option to edit before sending or just do a "bounce"?

I could not find any options that would control this behavior in PM.

TIA, Rich
